Pediatricians

Iordanidou Katerina is a Pediatrician in Thessaloniki. She is a graduate of the Medical School of the University of Thessaly and obtained her Pediatric specialization title in September 2019 following examinations. She began her specialty in the Pediatric Clinic of the General Hospital of Kavala and subsequently moved to the United Kingdom. She initially trained in the Neonatal Unit at Barnet Hospital in London and later at Evelina London Children’s Hospital, where she acquired extensive experience in general pediatrics, pediatric cardiology, and the emergency department. She received further training in pediatric endocrinology at the Royal London Hospital, working as a Senior Endocrine Fellow. She also worked as a Senior Registrar at Barnet Hospital and Royal Free Hospital, covering the Pediatric Department and the Neonatal Unit. Since 2013, she has been a certified ERC instructor in Neonatal Life Support (NLS Instructor). Since January 2023, she has maintained a private practice with modern equipment in the center of Thessaloniki, in a space designed to meet the needs of both children and mothers, including a breastfeeding area. With responsibility and scientific expertise, she undertakes the care of children from the neonatal period through adolescence.

Nasi Lamprini is a Pediatrician and maintains a private practice in Agia Paraskevi. She studied at the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and graduated as Head of the SSAS School (Military School of Corps Officers) - 1st in order of success. She specialized in Pediatrics at the 1st Pediatric Clinic of the University of Athens at the General Children's Hospital of Athens "Agia Sofia." Additionally, she received further training in Pediatric Dermatology at the Pediatric Dermatology Unit of the 1st Pediatric Clinic of the University of Athens at the Children's Hospital "Agia Sofia." She holds a master's degree in Clinical Pediatrics and Nursing Research from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Furthermore, she has completed a postgraduate program in the Management of Infants, Children, and Adolescents with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder at the Children's Hospital "Agia Sofia." She is a member of the European Society for Pediatric Dermatology (E.S.P.D). She has delivered numerous lectures and participated in a wide range of scientific conferences both in Greece and abroad. Moreover, she has a significant number of publications in reputable scientific journals. Today, she works as a Consultant in the Pediatric Department of the 401 General Military Hospital of Athens, while simultaneously managing cases covering the entire spectrum of pediatrics in her private practice.

Maria Sarigianni is a Pediatrician and maintains a private practice in Volos. She graduated from the Medical and Dental School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She specialized in Pediatrics at the University General Hospital of Larissa as well as at the Achillopouleio General Hospital of Volos. Her rural service was completed at the Regional Clinics of Milea, Promyri, Neochori, and Agios Georgios Nileias. Additionally, she has participated in conferences and speaks English.

Louraki Mara MD, PhD, IBCLC is a Pediatrician, Doctor of Medicine from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She maintains a private practice in Paiania. Concurrently, she works as a scientific associate at the Diabetes Clinic of the 2nd University Pediatric Clinic of the General Children’s Hospital "P. & A. Kyriakou" and as a consultant pediatrician at "Euroclinic Children’s Hospital." She graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her pediatric specialization took place at the Children's Hospital "P. & A. Kyriakou," the General Hospital "Asklipieio Voulas," and the Neonatal Unit of the General Hospital - Maternity "Elena Venizelou." She has particular expertise in pediatric endocrinology and diabetes mellitus, having worked as a scientific associate in the Endocrinology Department of the Children's Hospital "P. & A. Kyriakou" and in the Diabetes Clinics of the 1st and 2nd University Pediatric Clinics (at the Children's Hospitals "Agia Sofia" and "P. & A. Kyriakou," respectively), where she completed her doctoral dissertation. She holds certifications in advanced neonatal and pediatric life support (NLS, APLS) and an international certification as a Breastfeeding Counselor. Additionally, she has been trained in administering the Standardized Screening Test for Autism Spectrum Disorders ("pais"). As part of her continuous professional development, she participates in numerous conferences. She has presented scientific papers at both Greek and international conferences, and her authorship includes publications in Greek and international journals.

Dr. Sofia Genitsaridi is a pediatrician with a private practice based in Glyfada, Athens. She graduated from the School of Medicine of the University of Patras.

She completed part of her pediatric residency with a specialization in Neonatology at the University Neonatal Clinic of Aretaieio Hospital, where she received training in neonatal resuscitation, early neonatal care, and the establishment of breastfeeding immediately after birth.

She obtained her PhD from the School of Medicine at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, graduating with honors (“Excellent”). Her doctoral dissertation focused on the effectiveness of a personalized model of nutrition, physical activity, and psychological intervention for the prevention and management of childhood and adolescent obesity and overweight. The research was conducted at the Weight Management Center of the 1st University Pediatric Clinic of “Aghia Sophia” Children's Hospital.

Dr. Genitsaridi also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in General Pediatrics – Clinical Practice and Research, from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, which she completed with distinction.

She worked as a scientific associate at the University Pediatric Clinic in Mainz, Germany, gaining valuable international clinical experience. Upon returning to Greece, she completed her pediatric specialization at the 1st University Pediatric Clinic of “Aghia Sophia” Children's Hospital, where she was trained in diagnosing and managing a wide range of common and rare pediatric conditions. She successfully passed the national board certification exams in Pediatrics.

Currently, Dr. Genitsaridi works as a Scientific Associate at the Pediatric Obesity Center, part of the Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes Unit of the 1st University Pediatric Clinic at “Aghia Sophia” Hospital, and serves as an Attending Pediatrician at the Athens Euroclinic for Children.

She has actively participated in numerous national and international pediatric congresses as both an attendee and invited speaker. Her academic portfolio includes multiple publications in peer-reviewed international medical journals. Dr. Genitsaridi is also certified in Neonatal Life Support (NLS) and has received extensive training in breastfeeding support through various specialized seminars.

Pothoulaki Eleni is a Pediatrician who has maintained a practice for 15 years in the center of Athens. She completed her studies at the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Throughout her career, she has served in various hospital and regional facilities, including the "Elpis" Hospital in Athens, the "Agia Sofia" Children's Hospital, and the Asklipieio Hospital of Voula, as well as completing rural service at the Regional Clinic of Daphni Aigio. She specialized in Pediatrics, actively participating in conferences and scientific activities, and is a member of the Athens Medical Association. Her professional trajectory combines clinical experience, scientific training, and dedication to children's health, and at her practice, she provides specialized services in the field of infant, child, and adolescent development.

Papakonstantinou Despoina is a Pediatrician and holds a PhD from the University of Patras, with a private practice in Vari. Simultaneously, she serves as a Consultant in the Pediatric Clinic and outpatient clinics at Iasis Children’s Hospital. She studied Medicine at the University of Patras and specialized in Pediatrics at the General Hospital of Corinth and the First University Clinic of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, “Agia Sofia” Children’s Hospital. She has extensive experience and training within the United Kingdom's National Health Service (NHS Trust), having worked at Leeds Children’s Hospital and other clinics. She has participated as an instructor in the intradepartmental training program for trainees at Leeds Teaching Hospital, NHS Trust. Furthermore, she has a significant research background with numerous publications and has attended many advanced training seminars.

Tsitsari Ioanna is a Pediatrician based in Ano Toumpa, Thessaloniki. She is a graduate of the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds a Master's Degree in the "Biotechnology" Program from the University of Ioannina. Her specialization was completed at the Pediatric Clinic of the General Hospital of Giannitsa and the University General Hospital of Ioannina (PGNI), as well as at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of PGNI. From 2019 until the end of 2023, she worked as an Assistant Pediatrician at the Pylea Axioy Health Center, at the Mother and Child Protection Station (Vaccination Department), and at the Pediatric Clinic, while in 2023 she covered pediatric on-call duties at the Evosmos Health Center. Since 2024, she has maintained a private practice in Ano Toumpa, located at 182 Grigoriou Lambraki Street, next to the new playground "Park for All," in the former orphanage "Megas Alexandros."

Georgios Kaniaris is a Pediatrician - Neonatologist and has been running a private practice for the past 23 years in Nea Filadelfeia, Attica. He graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA) and is an active member of the Athens Medical Association and the Pediatric Society. The specialist specializes in Neonatology, Pediatric Nutrition, and Maternal Breastfeeding. Finally, as part of his continuous education and training, the doctor has participated in dozens of conferences and workshops both in Greece and abroad.

Trimis Georgios is a Pediatrician with a private practice in Ampelokipoi. Syrmou Areti is a Pediatrician and Doctor of Medicine from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She maintains a private practice in Metamorfosi. She graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and specialized in the Second University Pediatric Clinic of the General Children's Hospital "P. & A. Kyriakou." Additionally, she is a breastfeeding counselor and specialist in infant and child nutrition through the Postgraduate Program in Pediatric Nutrition at Boston University School of Medicine, having been trained in malnutrition, obesity, nutritional deficiencies, vegetarian diets, and gut microbiota. She has also received further training in the early detection of pervasive developmental disorders and holds a proficiency certificate for the Standardized Autism Spectrum Disorder Screening Test "pais" as well as neonatal and pediatric resuscitation certification (PEPP). She has particular expertise in Medical Genetics, having worked as a collaborator in the Medical Genetics department at the University of Athens, where she completed her doctoral dissertation. Georgiou Kleanthi is a Pediatrician - Neonatologist with a private practice in Aigaleo. She graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds Advanced Paediatric Life Support and Neonatal Life Support certifications. She specialized in Neonatology at the 2nd Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the General Children's Hospital "Agia Sofia," and she continues to serve as a Consultant in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at IASO Hospital. Loukas Ioannis is a Pediatrician who maintains a private practice in Neos Kosmos. He holds a degree from Universita' degli Studi di Roma "La Sapienza". He completed his specialty training at the 2nd University Pediatric Clinic of the General Children’s Hospital "Panagioti & Aglaia Kyriakou". He has accumulated professional experience from a large number of hospital institutions, and currently serves as a Scientific Collaborator for the Affidea Euroiatriki group and as a contracted pediatrician with the Ministry of National Defense. The physician participates in numerous educational conferences in Greece and abroad as part of ongoing scientific training in the latest developments in Pediatrics. Additionally, he holds EPLS (European Pediatric Life Support) certification. Finally, the physician is a member of the Athens Medical Association.

Mparzani Soleiman is a Pediatrician with private practices located in Galata Troizinia and on the island of Poros. In the past, he has provided his services at the Galata Health Center for 11 consecutive years in the field of pediatrics, the last 3 of which he served as the Scientific Director. After completing his military service, he worked at the Ios Health Center as a First Consultant from 2006 to 2010. At the beginning of his career, he started working at the Agia Sofia Children’s Hospital in Athens, where he also obtained his specialty. Subsequently, he participated in the NGO "Doctors of the World," traveling to various locations to assist children in need. Currently, he collaborates with the Municipality of Poros and visits the municipal nursery school, monitoring the health of children in the area.
