Pediatricians

Dr. Pantelaros Vasileios is a Pediatrician who maintains a private practice in Vyronas. He holds a degree from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and specialized at the First University Clinic of the University of Athens at the General Children's Hospital of Athens "Agia Sofia". Additionally, Dr. Pantelaros is a Scientific Collaborator of the Bioiatriki Group and the Municipality of Athens. Dr. Sofia Genitsaridi is a pediatrician with a private practice based in Glyfada, Athens. She graduated from the School of Medicine of the University of Patras.

She completed part of her pediatric residency with a specialization in Neonatology at the University Neonatal Clinic of Aretaieio Hospital, where she received training in neonatal resuscitation, early neonatal care, and the establishment of breastfeeding immediately after birth.

She obtained her PhD from the School of Medicine at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, graduating with honors (“Excellent”). Her doctoral dissertation focused on the effectiveness of a personalized model of nutrition, physical activity, and psychological intervention for the prevention and management of childhood and adolescent obesity and overweight. The research was conducted at the Weight Management Center of the 1st University Pediatric Clinic of “Aghia Sophia” Children's Hospital.

Dr. Genitsaridi also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in General Pediatrics – Clinical Practice and Research, from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, which she completed with distinction.

She worked as a scientific associate at the University Pediatric Clinic in Mainz, Germany, gaining valuable international clinical experience. Upon returning to Greece, she completed her pediatric specialization at the 1st University Pediatric Clinic of “Aghia Sophia” Children's Hospital, where she was trained in diagnosing and managing a wide range of common and rare pediatric conditions. She successfully passed the national board certification exams in Pediatrics.

Currently, Dr. Genitsaridi works as a Scientific Associate at the Pediatric Obesity Center, part of the Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes Unit of the 1st University Pediatric Clinic at “Aghia Sophia” Hospital, and serves as an Attending Pediatrician at the Athens Euroclinic for Children.

She has actively participated in numerous national and international pediatric congresses as both an attendee and invited speaker. Her academic portfolio includes multiple publications in peer-reviewed international medical journals. Dr. Genitsaridi is also certified in Neonatal Life Support (NLS) and has received extensive training in breastfeeding support through various specialized seminars.

Roussaki Eirini is a Pediatrician with a private practice in Ilioupoli. She studied at the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and specialized in Pediatrics at the Pediatric Clinic of the General Hospital of Nikaia Piraeus. During her specialization, she spent 2 years in the Neonatal Unit. Mpakogeorgou Xara is a Pediatrician who maintains a private practice in Petroupoli. She holds a degree from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Dr. Loutrouki Aikaterini is a Pediatrician with a private practice in Marousi. She is a graduate of the Medical School of the University of Leipzig, Germany, and holds a PhD from the University of Bern, Switzerland. She has gained professional experience working in hospitals in Germany for the past 18 years. Popi Kouloufakou - Gratsia is a Pediatrician and maintains a private practice in Kifisia. She studied at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and subsequently completed postgraduate studies in Clinical Pediatrics and Research (MSc) at the same university. Papakonstantinou Despoina is a Pediatrician and holds a PhD from the University of Patras, with a private practice in Vari. Simultaneously, she serves as a Consultant in the Pediatric Clinic and outpatient clinics at Iasis Children’s Hospital. She studied Medicine at the University of Patras and specialized in Pediatrics at the General Hospital of Corinth and the First University Clinic of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, “Agia Sofia” Children’s Hospital. She has extensive experience and training within the United Kingdom's National Health Service (NHS Trust), having worked at Leeds Children’s Hospital and other clinics. Furthermore, she has a significant research background with numerous publications and has attended many advanced training seminars.

Georgios Tsolas is a Pediatrician, Director of the Pediatric Clinic at the Metropolitan Hospital, and maintains private practices in Paleo Faliro and Saronida. He holds a degree from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a PhD from the same institution's Medical School. Pediatrician Georgios Tsolas is also specialized in Pediatric Lipid Disorders, with extensive experience in their management. He served for several years as the head of the Lipid Disorders Clinic of the 2nd Pediatric Clinic of the University of Athens at the General Children’s Hospital of Athens "P. & A. Panagiotopoulou Tzortzina MSc, IBCLC is a Pediatrician - Certified Breastfeeding Consultant IBCLC and maintains a private practice in Cholargos. She graduated in 2006 from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (N.K.U.A.) and continued her postgraduate training at the same university, specializing in clinical Pediatrics and Nursing Research, which she completed in 2017. In the same year, she obtained the Pediatric specialty title after specializing at the 1st Pediatric Clinic of the Children's Hospital of Athens "Agia Sofia". Iordanidou Katerina is a Pediatrician in Thessaloniki. She is a graduate of the Medical School of the University of Thessaly and obtained her Pediatric specialization title in September 2019 following examinations. She began her specialty in the Pediatric Clinic of the General Hospital of Kavala and subsequently moved to the United Kingdom. She initially trained in the Neonatal Unit at Barnet Hospital in London and later at Evelina London Children’s Hospital, where she acquired extensive experience in general pediatrics, pediatric cardiology, and the emergency department. She received further training in pediatric endocrinology at the Royal London Hospital, working as a Senior Endocrine Fellow. She also worked as a Senior Registrar at Barnet Hospital and Royal Free Hospital, covering the Pediatric Department and the Neonatal Unit. Since 2013, she has been a certified ERC instructor in Neonatal Life Support (NLS Instructor). Since January 2023, she has maintained a private practice with modern equipment in the center of Thessaloniki, in a space designed to meet the needs of both children and mothers, including a breastfeeding area. With responsibility and scientific expertise, she undertakes the care of children from the neonatal period through adolescence.

Syrmou Areti is a Pediatrician and Doctor of Medicine from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She maintains a private practice in Metamorfosi. She graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and specialized in the Second University Pediatric Clinic of the General Children's Hospital "P. & A. Kyriakou." Additionally, she is a breastfeeding counselor and specialist in infant and child nutrition through the Postgraduate Program in Pediatric Nutrition at Boston University School of Medicine, having been trained in malnutrition, obesity, nutritional deficiencies, vegetarian diets, and gut microbiota. She has also received further training in the early detection of pervasive developmental disorders and holds a proficiency certificate for the Standardized Autism Spectrum Disorder Screening Test "pais" as well as neonatal and pediatric resuscitation certification (PEPP). She has particular expertise in Medical Genetics, having worked as a collaborator in the Medical Genetics department at the University of Athens, where she completed her doctoral dissertation. Finally, she has numerous publications and presentations in international and Greek medical journals, as well as at Greek and international conferences, has contributed to book authorship, and has received awards from the Hellenic Pediatric Society.

Vlaxou Aggeliki is a Pediatrician and maintains a private practice in Ilioupoli. She is a graduate of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and holds a Master's Degree in Pediatric Infectious Diseases from the same institution. She has completed her Pediatric specialty training at Lamia General Hospital and at the University Clinic of the “Panagiotis and Aglaia Kyriakou” Children’s Hospital, where she subsequently specialized in Neonatology. During her professional career, she has worked as a scientific collaborator and researcher in the Oncology Department of Hippokration General Hospital of Athens, as well as a scientific collaborator in the Regular Pediatric Clinic of the University Nursing Department of EKPA at the “Panagiotis and Aglaia Kyriakou” Children’s Hospital. She has served as an associate pediatrician at Mitera Hospital and currently works as a pediatric consultant at Metropolitan Hospital, while simultaneously maintaining a private practice. She began her medical career with rural service at the Oia Regional Clinic and the Santorini Health Center, in collaboration with Syros General Hospital, gaining valuable clinical experience in a wide range of pediatric cases.

Loukas Ioannis is a Pediatrician who maintains a private practice in Neos Kosmos. He holds a degree from Universita' degli Studi di Roma "La Sapienza". He completed his specialty training at the 2nd University Pediatric Clinic of the General Children’s Hospital "Panagioti & Aglaia Kyriakou". He has accumulated professional experience from a large number of hospital institutions, and currently serves as a Scientific Collaborator for the Affidea Euroiatriki group and as a contracted pediatrician with the Ministry of National Defense. The physician participates in numerous educational conferences in Greece and abroad as part of ongoing scientific training in the latest developments in Pediatrics. Additionally, he holds EPLS (European Pediatric Life Support) certification. Finally, the physician is a member of the Athens Medical Association.
