Pavlakis Pantelis MD, PhD

Paulakis Pantelis studied at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. After graduating, he completed a postgraduate dissertation at the Laboratory of Pathological Physiology of the same School. He then moved to the USA, where he completed his full Neurology residency at Boston University. Following his residency, he specialized in Neuromuscular Diseases, Electromyography, and Autoimmune Neurology at the Hospital for Special Surgery of the Cornell University Medical School. After examinations, he obtained board certification in Neurology and Neuromuscular Diseases from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

After completing his training, he remained at the same hospital as an Attending Neurologist and Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Cornell University Medical School. He served as the director of the specialized clinics for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Muscular Dystrophy (ALSA & MDA clinics). He participated as a principal investigator in clinical studies on neuromuscular diseases including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy. He also taught medical students, residents, and neurology fellows at the Cornell University Medical School. He has authored scientific articles in international journals and contributed chapters to books.

After his return to Greece, he maintains a private practice in Ampelokipoi and is an Associate at the Athens Medical Center in Marousi.
