Η Λάσπα Έλενα είναι Ενδοκρινολόγος - Διαβητολόγος και διατηρεί το ιδιωτικό της ιατρείο στο Χαλάνδρι. Μέσω πανελληνίων εξετάσεων εισήχθη στην Ιατρική Σχολή Αθηνών το 1990. Ολοκλήρωσε το τελευταίο τμήμα της την ειδικότητας στο St.Mary’s Hospital του Λονδίνου, όπου εξειδικέυθηκε στο υπερηχογράφημα τραχήλου και στις καθοδηγούμενες υπερηχογραφικά παρακεντήσεις όζων θυρεοειδούς αδένα. Παράλληλα με την κλινική της δραστηριότητα στο Λονδίνο, συμμετείχε σε ερευνητικά προγράμματα μελέτης της μεταβλητότητας παραγόντων κινδύνου για την εμφάνιση διαταραχής ανοχής γλυκόζης και αθηροσκληρωτικής νόσου. Μετά το πέρας της ειδικότητας παρέμεινε επιστημονικά ενεργή με την συμμετοχή της σε έρευνες του Πανεπιστημιακού Νοσοκομείου Ιωαννίνων για τον καρκίνο του θυρεοειδούς, για τις ανάγκες της οποίας ανέλαβε μεγάλο αριθμό παρακεντήσεων όζων θυρεοειδούς. She has served as an endocrinology trainee at the Endocrinology Department of the General Maternity Hospital of Athens "Elena Venizelou," where she specialized in pregnancy endocrinology and reproductive endocrinology, as well as a pathology trainee and later scientific collaborator at the B' Propaedeutic Medical Clinic - Research Unit of the University General Hospital "Attikon," where she completed her doctoral dissertation and conducted research on diabetes mellitus. She has extensive research experience with publications of original papers in Greek and international medical journals and presentations at international and Greek conferences. The physician has significant clinical experience and specializes in endocrinological monitoring of pregnancy, thyroid disorders, diabetes, polycystic ovary syndrome, and reproductive endocrinology. The practice also manages cases of osteoporosis, dyslipidemia, obesity, parathyroid gland diseases, pituitary gland disorders, adrenal gland conditions, as well as other diseases related to the scientific fields of Endocrinology, Diabetes Mellitus, and Metabolism.
