Right leg numbness and pain after switching to soft mattress, should I worry?

When I changed home and started sleeping on a softer mattress a couple of months ago, my right leg started getting numb. I have had lower back issues for a long time, so I thought it was related and didn't pay much attention. Now, there is a slight but constant loss of sensation and pain, along with tickling and itching. I'm worried about being too late so can you please help me, how serious this might be, and which doctor should I see?

It might be sciatica or sciatica nerve irritation, probably caused by lower back disk herniation.
This is also related with lower back pain.
You should visit an orthopaedic surgeon , but you shouldn't be worried about being late, serious damage isn't a matter of a few days

You should start by seeing an Orthopaedic surgeon. You might need nerve conduction studies, +- MRI of the lower back (lumbar spine). Since, with those symptoms, surgery is usually not recommended, no, it's not "too late".
