Maria Petroliagki is an Endocrinologist and maintains private practices in Lavrio and Keratea. Έλαβε το πτυχίο της από την Ιατρική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών, και τον Μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο σπουδών (Masters of Science in Internal Medicine) από την Ιατρική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου του Εδιμβούργου, στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο (with Distinction). Εκπόνησε τη διδακτορική της διατριβή στη Λοιμωξιολογία με βαθμό “Άριστα”, στην Ιατρική Σχολή του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, για την οποία έλαβε υποτροφία από το Ίδρυμα Κρατικών Υποτροφιών (ΙΚΥ). Διδάσκει σε προπτυχιακούς και μεταπτυχιακούς φοιτητές της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών και του Αγγλόφωνου Τμήματος Ιατρικής του Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης.
