Parousi Amalia is a Specialist General Practitioner and maintains her private practice in Acharnes. She obtained her Specialty in General Medicine from the Medical School of the University of Athens and is a member of the Athens Medical Association (Reg. No. 28,447), a member of the Hellenic Society of General Medicine (ELEGEIA), a member of the board of directors of the Panhellenic Medical Acupuncture Society based in Athens since 1982, and an active member of the International Council for Medical Acupuncture (ICMART) based in Brussels, organizing and participating in educational seminars and conferences both in Greece and abroad. She works as a Family General Practitioner, contracted with TEVE, OGA, and other insurance funds, at her clinic.
She is appointed at IKA, in the area of Acharnes, Attica. She is involved in primary medical care as a General Practitioner, utilizing acupuncture alongside conventional pharmacological medicine as part of her treatment arsenal, always tailored to the case with the aim of the best patient care.
As part of her scientific development, the doctor attended a postgraduate training program in August 2010 on medical acupuncture at the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing and obtained the Certificate of Advanced Acupuncture and Moxibustion.
