Alexandra Kovacevich Konstatatou is an experienced Mental Health Counselor &
Psychotherapist within the field of individual, group, parents and couples therapy. Her
approach in therapy is Person Centered, humanistic, relational and informed by the
attachment science. She believes in not diagnosing human distress and treats her clients
with non-pharmaceutical methods, building with them a strong therapeutic alliance. She
specializes in working with couples with Emotionally Focused Couple’s Therapy model, and
due to her personal international background and languages skills she has gained extensive
experience and reputation in her work with couples from different cultures (mixed couples).
She has many years of experience in different life situations and has lived and worked in
many countries. He is fluent in English, Greek and Serbian and has traveled widely. She is
married and has a son. With initial studies in Economics, with a background in the business
world of shipping and always believing that life is a constant experience of change and
learning, she again sets an example from her own life and trains to become a Mental Health
Counselor, obtaining the title of Master in Person Centered Counseling & Psychotherapy
from Stratchlyde University, Glasgow. U.K.. She is continuing her training as a Parent
Consultant with the EAG (Effective Parent Training) model from Gordon-Hellas. She also
obtains training in Emotionally Focused couples Therapy (EFT) as a couples therapist, from
the Greek Focusing Center and completes the Externship Program in EFT, in Israel, Baruch
Ivcher School of Psychology, as well as the Core Skills program, with the EFT-Greek Network.
She has volunteered her services at the Center for the Elderly "Nea Thalpi" in Agios Stefanos,
creating a psychological support group for relatives of the elderly, suffering from dementia,
and at the Counseling center Together for the Child. Since 2014 she has run her own private
practice in the field of mental health counseling and psychotherapy, offering her support to
individuals, couples and groups.
