His recognized scientific expertise is also demonstrated by the fact that in 2015 he was awarded the 2nd National Patient Safety Award by the German Ministry of Health for his research program titled: “Videomonitoring of the delivery room management of preterm newborns.” He is a member of the European Scientific Collaboration on Neonatal Resuscitation and has served as Head of the Neonatology Department at the Pediatric Clinic of the "Carl Gustav Carus" University in Dresden and as Pediatric Consultant at the Pediatric Clinic of the same university. In his private practice, he manages a wide range of cases, combining his scientific knowledge with experience and professionalism.

Dr. Athiana Ilektra is a Pediatric Gastroenterologist and maintains her private practice in Thessaloniki. She studied Medicine at Democritus University of Thrace. Subsequently, she specialized in Pediatrics in Sweden and further specialized in Pediatric Gastroenterology at the University Hospitals of Uppsala in Sweden as well as Basel in Switzerland. She has served as Senior Registrar A in the Pediatric Gastroenterology Clinic at the Pediatric University Hospital of Uppsala and also has professional experience as an assistant physician in the Pediatric Surgery Clinic of the same University Hospital. She collaborates with the Saint Lukas Clinic, the General Clinic of Thessaloniki, and is a Scientific Associate of the 3rd Pediatric Clinic of Aristotle University (Hippokration Hospital of Thessaloniki). She is a member of the European Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) endoscopy teaching faculty and maintains active collaborations with foreign hospitals.
