Το έντονο ενδιαφέρον του για τον κερατοειδή, τις μεταμοσχεύσεις και τη διαθλαστική χειρουργική τον οδήγησε στο εθνικό σύστημα υγείας (NHS) του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου , όπου μετεκπαιδεύτηκε εντατικά. Από το 2022 είναι υποψήφιος διδάκτωρ στο Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών, με ερευνητικό αντικείμενο τη χρήση της συνεστιακής μικροσκοπίας στις παθήσεις του κερατοειδούς. Από το 2024, παρακολουθεί το δεύτερο μεταπτυχιακό του στο ΕΚΠΑ με τίτλο «Αντιμετώπιση Διαθλαστικών Εκτροπών και Διαθλαστικές Επεμβάσεις».
