Ο ιατρός είναι απόφοιτος της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης και κάτοχος Μεταπτυχιακού Διπλώματος (Master of Science, MSc) στην «Άθληση και Υγεία» με βαθμό Άριστα από την Ιατρική Σχολή Αθηνών του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών.
