Γεννήθηκε στην Πάτρα και αποφοίτησε με άριστα από το Αρσάκειο Πατρών και εισήχθη 9η με υποτροφία στο Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών. Το 1977 έλαβε πτυχίο με Λίαν Καλώς και εκπλήρωσε την Υπηρεσία Υπαίθρου στο Αγροτικό Ιατρείου Λεχαινών Ηλείας την 3ετία 1977 - 1980. Από το 1980 - 1983 ειδικεύθηκε στην Δερματολογία - Αφροδισιολογία στο μεγαλύτερο Δερματολογικό κέντρο της Ελλάδος, στο νοσοκομείο Δερματικών και Αφροδίσιων Νόσων Αθηνών " Ανδρέας Συγγρός". Κατα τη διάρκεια της ειδικότητάς της δραστηριοποιήθηκε ιδιαίτερα στο τμήμα Patch tests (Δερματίτιδες Εξ επαφής) και στο τμήμα Φώτο - Βιολογίας (φωτοδερματοπάθειες).
