Απόφοιτη της Οδοντιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, συνέχισε τις μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές της στο Παρίσι, συνδυάζοντας την οδοντιατρική με σπουδές στις ανθρώπινες επιστήμες. Η επαγγελματική της πορεία ξεκίνησε από το Ευρωπαϊκό Κοινοβούλιο και συνεχίστηκε με σημαντική επιστημονική δραστηριότητα στην Ελλάδα, ως συνεργάτης της Οδοντιατρικής Σχολής Αθηνών, ιδρυτικό μέλος της εταιρείας της Κοινωνικής Οδοντιατρικής.
