Mpakopoulou Ioanna is a Pediatrician specializing in Pediatric Endocrinology and maintains a private practice in Kaisariani. In 2014, she retired as an NHS Director and from 2015 worked as a Pediatric Endocrinologist at the Commission International Accredited Dr. Sulaiman al Habib Hospital, with a capacity of 360 beds. She actively participated in resident training programs in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia, delivering numerous lectures and seminars. Since 2020, she has been a scientific collaborator at IIBEAA, in the Pediatric and Adolescent Overweight Clinic, within the Unit of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Diabetes of the 1st Pediatric Clinic of the University of Athens at the General Children’s Hospital “Agia Sophia,” as a member of Professor E. Έλαβε διετές Μεταπτυχιακό (DIU) στην Παιδιατρική Ενδοκρινολογία και Διαβητολογία από το Πανεπιστήμιο Paris V, με κλινική εκπαίδευση στο Πανεπιστημιακό Παιδιατρικό Νοσοκομείο St Vincent de Paul στο Παρίσι. Έλαβε MSc "Research in Female Reproduction" από το Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών. Στις 15.05.23 προσεκλήθη από την European Society of Endocrinology να παραδώσει διάλεξη με θέμα ‘Role of Vitamin D in the prevention of T1 and T2 Diabetes’ στο 25th European Congress of Endocrinology, 13 – 16 May 2023, Istanbul, Turkey. Τον Μάϊο του 2023 εξελέγη Επισκέπτης Καθηγητής Νεογνικής - Παιδικής - Εφηβικής Ενδοκρινολογίας και ως επιστέγασμα της Ακαδημαϊκής του διαδρομής, τον Ιούνιο του 2024 εξελέγη Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής Παιδιατρικής, Υπεύθυνος Νεογνικής - Παιδικής - Εφηβικής Ενδοκρινολογίας & Διαβήτη, στο Τμήμα Ιατρικής της Σχολής Επιστημών Υγείας του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας.
