Αποφοίτησε μετά από 6ετή φοίτηση από την ιατρική σχολή του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών με βαθμό “λίαν καλώς” και μετέβη στη Γερμανία, όπου ειδικεύτηκε στη μαιευτική και γυναικολογία. Τα τελευταία 6 χρόνια της παραμονής του εκεί εργάστηκε στο ακαδημαϊκό νοσοκομείο Agaplesion Allgemeines Krankenhaus Hagen του πανεπιστήμιου Ruhr Bochum όπου και έλαβε τον τίτλο του Επιμελητή Α’ (Oberarzt). Η γυναικολογική κλινική αποτελεί περιγεννητικό κέντρου πρώτου (μέγιστου) βαθμού, κέντρο ενδομητρίωσης, κέντρο δυσπλασίας τραχήλου-κολποσκόπησης και κέντρο μαστού.
