Doctors for Osteoporosis in the Northern suburbs of Athens

Ο Πλούταρχος Τζούλης, Ενδοκρινολόγος – Διαβητολόγος, είναι επίτιμος Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής Ενδοκρινολογίας στην Ιατρική Σχολή του UCL (University College London). Έλαβε τον ιδιαιτέρως τιμητικό τίτλο του FRCP (Lon) από το Βασιλικό Κολλέγιο των Παθολόγων το 2022 σε αναγνώριση της 18ετούς συμβολής του στην πρόοδο της ιατρικής επιστήμης μέσω της κλινικής και ερευνητικής του δραστηριότητας στη Μεγάλη Βρετανία. Επιπλέον του ερευνητικού και διδακτικού του έργου στnν Ιατρική Σχολή του UCL, που συγκαταλέγεται στις 10 κορυφαίες ιατρικές σχολές παγκοσμίως, συνεχίζει το κλινικό του έργο τόσο στη Μεγάλη Βρετανία, εκτελώντας καθήκοντα Διευθυντή στην Ενδοκρινολογική και Παθολογική Κλινική του Νοσοκομείου Whittington του Λονδίνου, όσο και στην Ελλάδα, στη Γενική και Μαιευτική Κλινική ΙΑΣΩ.  

Μετά την εισαγωγή του με πανελλήνιες εξετάσεις και αποφοίτησή του από την Ιατρική Σχολή του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, μετέβη το 2004 στη Μεγάλη Βρετανία, όπου και εργάστηκε σε κορυφαία Πανεπιστημιακά Νοσοκομεία μέχρι το 2018. Το 2007 έγινε, μετά από εξετάσεις, τακτικό μέλος του Βασιλικού Κολεγίου των Παθολόγων (Member of the Royal College of Physicians, UK). Μετά την ολοκλήρωση της ειδικότητάς του στην Ενδοκρινολογία και Διαβητολογία στη Μεγάλη Βρετανία (CCT in Endocrinology & Diabetes, UK) και συγκεκριμένα στα Πανεπιστημιακά Νοσοκομεία Royal Free Hospital, University College London Hospital και Whittington Hospital του UCL, τον Φεβρουάριο 2015 ανέλαβε θέση Διευθυντή στην Ενδοκρινολογική - Διαβητολογική Κλινική και Παθολογική Κλινική του Νοσοκομείου Whittington του Λονδίνου. Έλαβε  μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο MSc (Hons) στην Κλινική Ενδοκρινολογία από το Barts & the London School of Medicine, Queen Mary University of London. Aκολούθως, έγινε διδάκτορας (PhD, Doctor of Philosophy) στην Ιατρική Σχολή του UCL μετά την ολοκλήρωση σειράς κλινικών μελετών και της διδακτορικής διατριβής του με θέμα τη διερεύνηση και θεραπεία της υπονατριαιμίας.

Συνεχίζει το ερευνητικό του έργο με βάση το UCL και πλήθος διεθνών συνεργασιών με περισσότερες από 55 δημοσιεύσεις σε έγκριτα διεθνή περιοδικά και περισσότερες από 50 παρουσιάσεις εργασιών και ομιλίες σε βρετανικά, ευρωπαϊκά και αμερικάνικα ιατρικά συνέδρια. Έχει μεγάλη εμπειρία στη διάγνωση και αντιμετώπιση όλου του φάσματος των ενδοκρινολογικών παθήσεων και διαβήτη και το πρωταρχικό του μέλημα είναι η προσφορά υψηλού επιπέδου εξατομικευμένων υπηρεσιών υγείας με βασικό γνώμονα την Ιατρική με βάση την πιο επικαιροποιημένη επιστημονική γνώση (Evidence - Based Medicine).

Topkas Athanasios MD, MSc is an Orthopedic Surgeon - Sports Medicine Specialist, affiliated with the Orthopedic Clinic of "Hygeia" Hospital, and maintains a private practice in Marousi. He graduated with honors from the Medical School of Varna University and holds a Master's degree in Metabolic Bone Diseases from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He began his specialization in Orthopedic Surgery - Traumatology at the General Prefectural Hospital of Edessa and continued his training at the 1st IKA Hospital of Athens and the General Attica Hospital KAT. He worked as a Registrar B at the Sports Injuries Department of the General Attica Hospital KAT and subsequently as a Registrar B in the 2nd Hand Surgery and Microsurgery Department of the same hospital. During his specialization and tenure, he specialized in all surgeries related to the upper limb and the hand. Additionally, he specialized in Sports Medicine, with a particular emphasis on knee arthroscopy and anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ligament injuries of the knee). To date, Dr. Topkas remains a Scientific Collaborator of numerous private hospitals and groups such as Hygeia Hospital, the Biomed Group, the Athens and Piraeus Bioclinic, the Euromedica Group, the Errikos Dynan Hospital Center, the Mediterraneo Hospital, the Athenian Clinic, and the Athens Medical Group. Triantafyllidis Pantelis is an Orthopedic Surgeon with a clinic located in Galatsi, Marousi. He specializes in Knee and Hip Arthroplasty, Robotic Arthroplasty, Arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder, and ankle, the treatment of Sports injuries, Osteoporosis, and fracture management. Additionally, during his specialty training, he has been trained in Microsurgery and upper limb surgery, as well as Pediatric Orthopedics. The clinic treats adult and adolescent patients with all types of orthopedic problems. Concurrently, he serves as the Director and Scientific Supervisor of the orthopedic department at Orthobiomed. Kyriakos K. Trigkidis, MD, MSc is an Internal Medicine and Intensive Care Medicine specialist practising at his private Office in the city of Chalkida, Evia and in the city of Agios Stefanos, Attica (within the premises of "Medica' Medical Centre).

He graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and completed, in the same Faculty, the post-graduate programme on the field of Resuscitation receiving a Master in Science (MSc) Degree. He is currently preparing his Doctoral Thesis on the subject of ultrasound assessment of hemodynamic status of Intensive Care Unit patients. He has contributed to the scientific literature by publishing articles in peer-reviewed, high-profile journals and by presenting his work in international conferences (ISICEM, ESICM).

Dr. Trigkidis completed his specialty training in Internal Medicine and further specialised in Intensive Care Medicine in "Evangelismos" General Hospital of Athens, one of the most prestigious hospitals of the greek Capital. He is registered with the UK General Medical Council as a specialist in General Internal Medicine, having worked as a Senior Clinical Fellow in the Intensive Care Unit of the Royal London Hospital and in the Accident and Emergency Department of Queen's Hospital in London, UK.

Currently, apart from private practice, he is employed as an Intensive Care Medicine specialist in the Intensive Care Unit of Athens Medical Centre.

Tsiavos Konstantinos is an Orthopedic Surgeon and maintains a private practice in the Acharnes area. In recent years, he has worked as a Consultant in the Spine Surgery Department at "Hygeia" Hospital, specializing in Spine Surgery, Adult Reconstructive Surgery, and Trauma Management. He holds a degree from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and completed his postgraduate studies focusing on metabolic bone diseases and Osteoporosis at the same university. He began his specialization in Orthopedic Surgery as an assistant physician to Professor Mr. Soukakos at the Athens Bioclinic. Subsequently, for approximately six years, he worked as an Orthopedic Surgeon at some of the largest hospitals in Athens, specifically at the University General Hospital "Attikon" and the General Children's Hospital "P. & A. Kyriakou" (1 year). He has accumulated more than 10 years of experience in Orthopedic Surgery and successfully performs a large number of surgeries daily, focusing on conditions related to the Spine. His clinical interest centers on adult spinal disorders and congenital spinal conditions in children (scoliosis). He continuously pursues further education and attends seminars and specialized training courses in Greece and Europe and has obtained certification from the AO Course Advance In Operative Fracture Management. Finally, he has authored five academic publications, the latest of which was published in 2016 with the participation of academic colleagues and peers.

Tsimplakis Mixalis is an Orthopedic Surgeon - Sports Medicine Specialist, Deputy Director of the 8th Orthopedic Clinic at Metropolitan General, and maintains a private practice in Nea Smyrni. He is a graduate of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and has received advanced training in Shoulder Arthroscopic Surgery at the 401 General Military Hospital of Athens. He has particular expertise in knee arthroplasty, meniscal arthroscopy, chondropathy arthroscopy, shoulder arthroscopy, osteoporosis management, as well as monitoring kyphosis, scoliosis, and fractures. Tsoumas Xristos is an Orthopedic Surgeon who operates a private practice in Nea Ionia. He is a graduate of the Military School of Corps Officers (S.S.A.S) and holds a Master's degree in "Metabolic Bone Diseases" from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Flevarakis Georgios is an Orthopedic Surgeon and maintains private practices in Voula, Cholargos within Metropolitan General, and in Neos Kosmos within Athenian Lab & Medicine. He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Patras, where he was admitted following nationwide examinations. His initial exposure to Orthopedic specialization was at the Orthopedic Clinic of the Naval Hospital of Athens (2006-2008). Ο Ορθοπαιδικός Χειρουργός Δημήτριος Α. Φλέβας, MD, MSc, PhD δέχεται ασθενείς στην Κηφισιά, στο χώρο του πολυιατρείου Healthspot, και στο ιδιωτικό του ιατρείο στη Χαλκίδα, από όπου και κατάγεται. Στο ίδιο νοσοκομείο των ΗΠΑ ο κ. Φλέβας είχε μεταβεί ως επισκέπτης Ιατρός σε διάφορες περιόδους της εκπαίδευσής του. Fragkoulopoulos Euaggelos is an Endocrinologist - Diabetologist who maintains a private practice in Nea Filadelfeia.
