Dr. Maria-Irini Kourakou is a practicing ophthalmologist based in Cholargos, Athens. She graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2004–2010), and later completed a Master’s Degree in Medical Imaging in Ophthalmology at the Democritus University of Thrace (2018–2023).She began her professional career with a clinical residency at Hospital Bellvitge in Barcelona, Spain (2012–2013), gaining valuable experience in a high-level international medical environment. She then completed her specialization in Ophthalmology at Evangelismos General Hospital in Athens (2016–2022), one of Greece’s most prominent teaching hospitals.Dr. Kourakou is a member of the Athens Medical Association (since 2010) and the Hellenic Ophthalmological Society (since 2017). She actively participates in medical congresses and continuing education. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Ο Μόσιαλος - Τζωρτζόπουλος Κωνσταντίνος είναι Χειρουργός Οφθαλμίατρος και διατηρεί ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στα Ιλίσια. Έχει εξειδικευθεί στα πρόσθια μόρια του οφθαλμού, συγκεκριμένα στο γλαύκωμα, την οφθαλμική επιφάνεια και σε περιπτώσεις επιπλεγμένου καταρράκτη στο King's College Hospital του Λονδίνου ως έμμισθος επιμελητής (senior clinical fellow). Ολοκλήρωσε την ειδικότητα στην Οφθαλμολογία στην Πανεπιστημιακή Κλινική Χαϊδελβέργης, όπου εργάστηκε στα τμήματα γλαυκώματος, καταρράκτη και διαθλαστικής χειρουργικής, κερατοειδούς και οφθαλμικής επιφάνειας καθώς και στην Τράπεζα οφθαλμικών μοσχευμάτων. Συμμετείχε στο τμήμα έρευνας αμφιβληστροειδούς στο κομμάτι των anti VEGF παραγόντων. Ακόμη, έχει πραγματοποιήσει μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στη Διοίκηση Μονάδων Υγείας στο Πανεπιστήμιο Neapolis της Πάφου. Είναι μέλος της Ελληνικής Οφθαλμολογικής Εταιρίας, της European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, της εταιρείας οφθαλμικής επιφάνειας και ξηροφθαλμίας καθώς και του Ομίλου Ιστορίας της Οφθαλμολογίας και, μετά από εξετάσεις, Διπλωματούχος του Ευρωπαϊκού Συμβουλίου Οφθαλμολογίας (European Board of Ophthalmology). Στο ιδιωτικό του ιατρείο, παρέχει πλήθος υπηρεσιών, όπως έλεγχο καταρράκτη, έλεγχο γλαυκώματος, έλεγχο ωχράς κηλίδας, οπτική τομογραφία συνοχής (OCT), ψηφιακή αγγειογραφία, οπτικά πεδία, παχυμετρία κερατοειδούς και τονομέτρηση.

Dr. Irene Nitoda is an ophthalmic surgeon who runs her private practice in Korydallos. She is a graduate of the Medical School of the University of Ioannina, holds a Master’s Degree in Optics and Vision from the University of Crete, and has earned a PhD from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Additionally, she specializes in retinal pathology, holding a Master’s degree in diabetic retinopathy and a doctoral dissertation on age-related macular degeneration. She is an external associate of the 1st Ophthalmology Clinic at Metropolitan Hospital, the Athinaiki Mediclinic, and OΜΜΑ (Ophthalmological Institute of Athens). She has also been a former associate of the Electrophysiology Department of the 1st University Ophthalmology Clinic. Furthermore, she maintained a private practice in France (Chelles, Île-de-France, Paris) from June 2020 to May 2024. Finally, Dr. Nitoda has an extensive research and scientific portfolio, with publications in international medical journals, participation in postgraduate training seminars, as well as contributions to papers and presentations at international and national conferences.
