Ophthalmologists with experience in Laser for Myopia in Kolonaki

Vardavas Euripidis is an Ophthalmologist and Scientific Director of the Diavgeia Eye Center. He is a graduate of the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. After completing his mandatory rural service at the Infectious Diseases Hospital of Athens, he specialized in Ophthalmology at the Athens Polyclinic and the Athens Eye Clinic. Subsequently, he attended numerous seminars and medical conferences abroad for several years in order to gain further expertise in contact lens application. He has been involved in contact lens fitting, specifically for keratoconus, since 1973. Simultaneously, he collaborates with the Hypapanti Ophthalmology Clinic for cataract surgeries as well as with the Athens Eye Center for Excimer Laser surgeries. Florou Xrysoula is an Ophthalmic Surgeon and operates a Private Clinic in Pangrati. She is a graduate and holds a PhD from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specializing in Ophthalmology. Psomiadi Olga is a Ophthalmic Surgeon who maintains a private practice in Ampelokipoi. She is a graduate of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a few years later obtained her specialty title in Ophthalmology. She has worked as a Resident Ophthalmologist in Greece and Germany. Additionally, she provides voluntary medical services as an Ophthalmology Collaborator at the Athens Ophthalmology Center during missions with the non-profit organization "Doctors of the World." Finally, the doctor has a significant number of research scientific publications.

Gkolezakis Spyros is an Ophthalmic Surgeon with studies at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (Germany), specialized and further trained at the ophthalmology clinic of the Evangelical Hospital Mülheim, and a member of the European Ophthalmological Society FEBO (Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology). Gerakidis Mixalis is an ophthalmic surgeon who maintains a private practice in the Syntagma area. He completed medical studies at Comenius University as well as optics-optometry at the University of West Attica. He specialized at the Athens Eye Hospital. He successfully participated in the European Ophthalmology Board examinations and obtained the title of Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO). Since February 2024, he has been pursuing postgraduate studies entitled: "Management of Refractive Errors and Refractive Surgery," which addresses the latest advances in laser myopia procedures. During his specialization, he gained clinical experience in numerous ophthalmic conditions such as refractive abnormalities, glaucoma, macular diseases, diabetic retinopathy, cataract, keratoconus, as well as surgical experience in cataract, keratoconus, and laser myopia procedures. In his career as an optician-optometrist, he encountered a wide range of keratoconus cases involving the application of specialized contact lenses aimed at improving vision and acquired experience in alleviating symptoms in patients suffering from refractive errors and diplopia. His practice is equipped with the most advanced ophthalmological equipment for the diagnosis and monitoring of all eye diseases.

Vergados Athanasios is an Ophthalmologist and maintains a private clinic in Ampelokipoi. Upon completing his medical studies, he specialized at the First University Ophthalmology Clinic (G. Gennimatas - KOFKA). In May 2014, he was awarded a PhD in Ophthalmology for his research project titled "Preperimetric lesions in pseudoexfoliative Glaucoma" from the Medical School of the University of Athens. Subsequently, he further specialized in the United Kingdom at the second largest ophthalmologic hospital in Europe (Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre). Following his specialization, he was appointed Director of the Glaucoma Department at the James Paget University Hospital in the East Anglia region. In 2017, he moved to London, where he was appointed at Barts Health NHS Trust, the largest hospital complex in England. He worked as a glaucoma specialist at Whipps Cross University Hospital and was head of the Glaucoma and Emergency Department. He also served as the lead physician for glaucoma treatment at Newham University Hospital. He is a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (UK), GMC (UK), UKEGS (member of the United Kingdom Glaucoma Society), BEECS (British Emergency Eye Care Society), British Ophthalmic Anaesthesia Society. Additionally, he is a member of the Athens Medical Association, the Hellenic Ophthalmological Society, and the European and Hellenic Glaucoma Societies.
