Υπηρέτησε ως αγροτικός γιατρός στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Ζακύνθου και εν συνεχεία ξεκίνησε την ειδίκευσή του στη Χειρουργική Κλινική του Γενικού Νοσοκομείου Κεφαλονιάς. Μετέπειτα συνέχισε την ειδικότητά του στην Α΄ Πανεπιστημιακή Μαιευτική - Γυναικολογική Κλινική του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών του Γενικού Νοσοκομείου Αθηνών "Αλεξάνδρα", όπου ολοκλήρωσε την ειδικότητά του. Μετέπειτα, εργάστηκε ως Μαιευτήρας - Γυναικολόγος στο τελευταίο Νοσοκομείο, στα Τμήματα Γυναικολογικού Υπερήχου, Παθολογίας Τραχήλου και Κολποσκόπησης, καθώς και σε Γυναικολογικό Τμήμα Αντιμετώπισης Καλοηθών Παθήσεων.
