Ο Ζαχαράτος Παναγιώτης MD, PhD είναι Πνευμονολόγος - Φυματιολόγος. Ξεκίνησε την επαγγελματική του πορεία αποκτώντας βασικές γνώσεις αρχικά Βιολογίας (πτυχίο Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών) και στη συνέχεια Ιατρικής (πτυχίο Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών). Ειδικεύτηκε στην Πνευμονολογία - Φυματιολογία στο Πνευμονολογικό Τμήμα της Α Πανεπιστημιακής Κλινικής Εντατικής Θεραπείας στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Αθηνών "Ευαγγελισμός". He specialized in Internal Medicine at the Therapeutic Clinic of the University of Athens at the General Hospital "Alexandra." He pursued further training in France, with a scholarship from the French government, in the field of "Respiratory Pathophysiology" & "Respiratory Diseases" at the University Hospital of NANCY - INSERM Research Center. To this day, he serves as the Director Internist of the Athens Medical Center at the Maroussi Clinic and the Psychiko Clinic. He has participated in numerous conferences in Greece and abroad and has publications in Greek and international journals. Finally, a significant milestone in the doctor's medical career was in 1982, when he was awarded the "Sotiris Papastamatis Award" by the Medical Society of Athens for the best research work of the year: "The Concentration of 2,3-DPG in Red Blood Cells in Idiopathic Hypertension."
