The incision made is small and analgesics are not required during the usually one-day hospitalization. In this case, the patient will need to abstain from work for 1 to 2 days.

He holds a postgraduate degree in Endovascular Surgery from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is a certified specialized user of vascular ultrasound and has participated as a speaker at international Vascular Surgery conferences. He specialized in the full spectrum of Vascular Surgery & Angiology at the University Clinic of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery in Düsseldorf, Germany (Universitätsklinik Düsseldorf, Germany). After obtaining his specialty, he underwent further training in Minimally Invasive Endovascular Surgery at the internationally recognized Aorta & Peripheral Artery Disease center at the University Clinic of Hamburg, Germany (Universitäres Herz- und Gefäßzentrum Hamburg, Germany) under the supervision of the distinguished Professor Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. Eike Sebastian Debus.

Ioumpas Leon is a General Surgeon and maintains a private practice in Kolonos. He graduated from the Medical School of Cluj Napoca in Romania and obtained his specialty in general surgery at the General Hospital of Athens "Evangelismos," in the 3rd Surgical Clinic - Laparoscopic Unit. He possesses extensive experience in the painless treatment of venous diseases using laser technology and in the assessment of the circulatory system through the use of Doppler and triplex ultrasound. The clinic offers all modern techniques for veins and treats venous and arterial conditions, varicose veins, telangiectasias, aneurysms, lymphedemas, and thromboses. Additionally, surgeries are performed for patients with kidney disease, as well as endovascular procedures.

Dr Med Galanis Nektarios is a Vascular Surgeon maintaining private vascular surgery clinics in Athens and Chalkida. He holds degrees in Medicine and Radiation Protection and is a Doctor of the Medical School of Ulm in Germany. He has been trained in vascular diagnostic ultrasound, endovascular techniques, and endovenous laser ablation techniques for varicose veins. He possesses extensive clinical experience, having worked for 18 consecutive years (2003-2020) in clinics abroad in Germany and Switzerland, and since March 2020, he has been professionally active in Greece.

The vascular surgeon has performed more than 4,500 procedures both abroad and in Greece.

Since 2020, after his repatriation, he has served as the Director of the 1st Vascular Surgery Clinic at "IASO Thessaly". From October 2022, for three consecutive years, he was the director of the 5th Vascular Surgery Clinic at "Metropolitan General", and since September 2025, he has been directing the 2nd Vascular Surgery Clinic at "White Cross - The Athens Clinic" in Athens.

From 2021 for three consecutive years, he has been a scientific associate at the Institute of Anatomy of the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where he taught Anatomy to medical students. Since September 2025, he continues his academic and teaching activities at the same school, now holding the position of Assistant Professor of Medicine at AUTh Medical School.
