Είναι απόφοιτη της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών, κατόπιν επιτυχούς εισαγωγής μέσω πανελλαδικών εξετάσεων. H Καρακασίδου Μαρία είναι Μαιευτήρας – Γυναικολόγος, και διατηρεί ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στην Νέα Σμύρνη εντός του πολυϊατρείου Top Meds. Είναι απόφοιτος της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών και κάτοχος του μεταπτυχιακού τίτλου σπουδών Εμβρυομητρική Ιατρική του ίδιου πανεπιστημίου. Ειδικεύθηκε αρχικά στην Γενική Χειρουργική στο Πανεπιστημιακό Νοσοκομείο 'Αττικόν',στην συνέχεια συνέχισε την ειδίκευσή της στην Μαιευτική -Γυναικολογία στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Ζακύνθου. Μετέπειτα, ολοκλήρωσε την ειδίκευσή της στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο- Μαιευτήριο «Έλενα Βενιζέλου», όπου απέκτησε εκτεταμένη κλινική εμπειρία. Κατά τη διάρκεια της ειδικότητάς της ήρθε σε επαφή με μεγάλο εύρος παθήσεων της Μαιευτικής και Γυναικολογίας, καθώς και με την ελάχιστα επεμβατική γυναικολογική χειρουργική. Σήμερα κατέχει τη θέση Επικουρικής Επιμελήτριας Β’ στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο «Αλεξάνδρα», ενώ παράλληλα συνεργάζεται με τις ιδιωτικές Μαιευτικές–Γυναικολογικές κλινικές ΡΕΑ και ΙΑΣΩ. Κατέχει πιστοποίηση στην διενέργεια διαγνωστικής κολποσκόπησης από την Ελληνική Εταιρεία Κολποσκόπησης και Παθολογίας Τραχήλου. Είναι μέλος της Ελληνικής Μαιευτικής και Γυναικολογικής Εταιρείας και της Ελληνικής Εταιρείας Κολποσκόπησης και Παθολογίας Τραχήλου. Στόχος της είναι η παροχή εξατομικευμένης και σύγχρονης ιατρικής φροντίδας, με σεβασμό στις ανάγκες κάθε γυναίκας και έμφαση στην επιστημονική τεκμηρίωση, την υπευθυνότητα και την ανάπτυξη σχέσης εμπιστοσύνης με την ασθενή.
