He is a graduate of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and, after completing his specialty training at the Attikon General Hospital KAT, specialized in the surgical management of sports injuries and degenerative hip and knee disorders, completing a fellowship program at the University Hospital of Leeds in the United Kingdom, recognized by the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS). He has developed a particular scientific interest in the management of post-traumatic and juvenile arthritis, having performed numerous surgeries both during his four-year fellowship training in hospitals in the United Kingdom and after his return to Greece.

Stathellis Apostolos MD, PhD is an Orthopedic Surgeon - Sports Medicine Specialist with expertise in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, knee, elbow, and ankle, as well as sports injuries. He graduated with honors from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and holds a PhD from the University of Ulm in Germany. Following an 8-year training period in Germany (2009 - 2016) at one of the leading arthroscopic surgery centers (Sportklinik - Stuttgart), he now maintains private practices in Vrilissia and Marousi and concurrently serves as an Attending Physician at the 3rd Orthopedic Clinic at Hygeia Hospital. In 2016, he obtained the sports medicine specialization title in Germany, as well as certification in arthroscopic surgery. Additionally, he is trained and certified in musculoskeletal ultrasonography.
