Ανησυχία για χοληστερίνη και σάκχαρο σε 28χρονο καπνιστή με άγχος;
Καλησπέρα σας, έχω κάποιες εξετάσεις και με έχει καταβάλει άγχος. Κατά σειρά έχω: 1) Ολική χοληστερίνη 179 2) Τριγλυκερίδια 78 3) HDL 50 4) LDL 124 5) σάκχαρο 95 Είμαι 28 ετών, περπατάω αρκετά και καπνίζω μεν, αλλά 10 τσιγάρα την ημέρα. Δεν έχω κάτι παθολογικό, υπάρχει ανησυχία με αυτές τις τιμές;

Οι εξετάσεις σου είναι συνολικά αρκετά καλές για την ηλικία σου. Η LDL είναι λίγο αυξημένη (ιδανικά θέλουμε κάτω από 115 στους υγιείς νέους), αλλά όχι σε ανησυχητικό βαθμό. Εκεί που αξίζει να εστιάσεις περισσότερο είναι το κάπνισμα. Ακόμα και 10 τσιγάρα την ημέρα επιβαρύνουν σημαντικά τον καρδιαγγειακό κίνδυνο — και δυστυχώς, δεν υπάρχει “ασφαλής” ποσότητα.
Αν σκέφτεσαι να το μειώσεις ή να το διακόψεις, στο ιατρείο έχουμε οργανώσει εξειδικευμένο πρόγραμμα διακοπής καπνίσματος, γιατί ξέρουμε πως είναι μια εξάρτηση που θέλει υποστήριξη — όχι μόνο θέληση. Δεν είναι ζήτημα αδυναμίας, αλλά θέμα σωστής καθοδήγησης.
