Dr. Mpalafoutas Dimitrios is an Obstetrician-Gynecologist maintaining a private practice in Glyfada. He holds a degree and a PhD from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and has also received scholarships from the German Academic Exchange Service as well as from the State Scholarships Foundation. Additionally, he has obtained several certifications in various areas of his specialty. Upon completion of his studies, he continued at the University Hospital of Freiburg, Germany, where he trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology and obtained his specialty certification in 2013. He was immediately appointed as a consultant at the same hospital, where he remained until 2015. Subsequently, he moved to the University Hospital of Würzburg, where in 2016 he was elected Deputy Chief Physician and in 2017 Chief Physician, a position he held until the end of 2020. Moreover, he was appointed Consultant at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinics of the University Hospitals of Freiburg and Würzburg. He specialized in Gynecologic Oncology and Minimally Invasive Surgery at the University Hospitals of Freiburg and Würzburg, as well as in Robotic Surgery at the University Hospital of Würzburg. At these hospitals, he was also head of the Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology departments, as well as the specialized uterine fibroid treatment clinic. Currently, Dr. Mpalafoutas collaborates with IASO and REA maternity hospitals and the Bioclinic of Athens. Furthermore, he has participated in numerous conferences and attended various seminars that have enhanced his expertise. Notably, he has published several medical articles. Finally, he is a member of the Landesärztekammer Bayern, the Athens Medical Association, the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO), and the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Zervixpathologie und Kolposkopie e.V. of the German Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics (AG-CPC).
