Θεωρούσα πως θα ήταν μια τυπική, γρήγορη επίσκεψη (για συνταγογράφηση), αφού οι συνεδρίες του γιού μου έχουν πάρει πια κάποιο δρόμο. Όμως η γιατρός ασχολήθηκε επισταμένως με την περίπτωση του και μου παρουσίασε μια αξιολόγηση / γνωμάτευση που δεν θα είχα φανταστεί και εξηγεί πολλά για τις δυσκολίες που αντιμετωπίζει. Δεν μπορώ να κρίνω την κατάρτηση της ή την εμπειρία της, όμως αυτό που έχω να πω είναι πως ενδιαφέρεται για τους ασθενείς, είναι ανθρώπινη και μου ανοιξε ένα καινούργιο παράθυρο, σχετικά με την περίπτωση μας. Ενώ εξακολουθεί να είναι δύσπιστη, πιστεύω ότι κατάφεραν να αποκτήσουν την εμπιστοσύνη της κόρης μου αρκετά ώστε να συνεχίσει στην επόμενη συνάντησή της μαζί τους. Έχουμε επισκεφτεί μόνο μία φορά, οπότε είναι πολύ νωρίς για να είμαστε σίγουροι, αλλά η πρώτη μου εντύπωση είναι ότι η δουλειά μας μαζί τους θα είναι αποτελεσματική.
