Dr. Sakorafas Georgios MD, PhD is a Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgeon with a private practice in Ampelokipoi. He has served for several years in major hospitals in Athens in positions of responsibility: Coordinating Director of the Surgical Clinic at "Agios Savvas" Hospital, Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Athens [4th University Surgical Clinic, Attiko Hospital], and at the 251st Air Force General Hospital (Deputy Director of the Surgical Clinic, Head of the Emergency Department, Head of the Education Office of the Air Force Medical Corps). He completed a two-year fellowship in the United States in Endocrine, General, and Oncologic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. During this period, he performed a very large number of endocrine, general, and oncologic surgical procedures.
