Georgios Xatzantonis is a vascular surgeon-endovascular surgeon. He trained at one of the largest centers for diabetic foot management and vascular access (fistula) in Germany and specializes in innovative endovascular techniques, having performed over 2,000 related procedures on hemodialysis patients in Germany and Greece. He is the head of the Vascular Access Center at Errikos Dunant Hospital, as well as the head of the Vascular Access Department at the 2nd Vascular Surgery Clinic, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, at GNA “Laiko” Hospital. Mr. Xatzantonis is the pioneer behind the establishment of the first vascular access center in Greece, recognized by the international Vascular Access Society as a training center for vascular access surgery for hemodialysis patients. Finally, the physician is a scientific collaborator at Errikos Dunant Hospital, Mediterraneo Hospital, and GNA “Laiko” Hospital.
