Dr Xrelias Theodoros is a Plastic Surgeon who maintains a private practice in Nea Ionia. He graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He began his surgical specialty training in Paris, where he gained experience in General Surgery with a focus on various areas such as vascular surgery, urological, and ENT surgery. He then pursued further specialization in Belgium, at the Saint Luc University Hospital of Brussels, under the guidance of Professor Benoit Lengele, renowned for the world’s first face transplant. There, he specialized in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery, concentrating on mastoplasty and dermatosurgery. Subsequently, he worked at the Geneva University Hospital, participating in humanitarian missions for the facial reconstruction of children with deformities caused by NOMA disease. After 12 months in Geneva, he returned to France and joined the Rennes University Hospital, where he worked as an attending physician and specialized in innovative methods for skin defect reconstruction. His collaboration with the world-famous surgeon J.P. Hong inspired him to establish a team for the surgical management of lymphedema using supermicrosurgical techniques. His interests extend to demanding fields such as gender reassignment surgery and aesthetic facial interventions. Currently, he contributes to clinical research and holds the position of Scientific Collaborator at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens / "Attikon" University Hospital. Concurrently, he offers his services at private clinics in Athens and Paris.
