Mitsonis Mixail is an Ophthalmologist with a private practice in Nea Erythraia. He has completed a doctoral dissertation at the Ophthalmology Clinic of Democritus University of Thrace and holds a degree from the Medical School of La Sapienza University of Rome. He is the head of the Glaucoma and Cataract Department at the Ophthalmology Clinic of the General Hospital of Piraeus "Tzaneio" and a Scientific Collaborator at Athens Eye Hospital. He has received specialized training from the University of Bologna, the Ophthalmology Clinic of Tzaneio Hospital, and the 2nd Ophthalmology Clinic of the Red Cross Hospital. Additionally, he has gained extensive experience in cataract-glaucoma microsurgery, laser treatment of refractive abnormalities, and blepharospasm, and provides services including myopia laser treatment, fundoscopy, refractive assessment (measurement and prescription of glasses), glaucoma screening, cataract examination, macular evaluation, contact lens fitting, home visits, and tonometry.
