Gkiouzelis Ioannis

Giouzelis Ioannis is a Psychiatrist - Psychotherapist, graduate of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He obtained his specialty title from the A' Psychiatric Clinic of the University of Athens, Aeginitio Hospital. She works at the Society for the Protection of Spastic Patients and at the Children's Protection and Rehabilitation Foundation "The Theotokos". Since twenty years she has been involved in disability committees, i.e. the current Disability Certification Centres (CDCs). Since 2013, he is a founding member and President of the Hellenic Medical Society for Disability, Social Security and Welfare (ELIEAKAP), which is the scientific association of Greek physicians active in the field of Insurance Medicine. In the context of its cooperation with the Hellenic Centre for Mental Health and Research (HCMH), it has under its supervision the boarding schools "Dias" and "Aias", located in Livadia. He is the Scientific Officer for the new boarding school of the Mental Health Rehabilitation Centre "ANASA", located in Haidari. In the past he has worked as a Psychiatrist, at the then IKA (later PEDY and Health Center) in Zografou. He was the Scientific Director of the Sikyarides Foundation, which serves people with Mental Retardation and Developmental Disorders. He has also served as Scientific Manager and Psychiatrist at the "EGNYA" Home of the Association of Parents of Mentally Retarded Persons, the Panhellenic Association of Parents, Guardians and Friends of Persons with Vision Problems and Additional Disabilities "Amymoni", the Association of Parents, Guardians and Friends of Autistic Persons "Agios Nikolaos". In the past, she worked at Okana and the Sinouri Clinic. Finally, he has attended and participated in a large number of international and Greek conferences and research projects, having dozens of papers and publications to his credit.
