Κατά τη διάρκεια της ειδικότητάς της ήρθε σε επαφή με μεγάλο εύρος παθήσεων της Μαιευτικής και Γυναικολογίας, καθώς και με την ελάχιστα επεμβατική γυναικολογική χειρουργική. Σήμερα κατέχει τη θέση Επικουρικής Επιμελήτριας Β’ στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο «Αλεξάνδρα», ενώ παράλληλα συνεργάζεται με τις ιδιωτικές Μαιευτικές–Γυναικολογικές κλινικές ΡΕΑ και ΙΑΣΩ. Κατέχει πιστοποίηση στην διενέργεια διαγνωστικής κολποσκόπησης από την Ελληνική Εταιρεία Κολποσκόπησης και Παθολογίας Τραχήλου. Είναι μέλος της Ελληνικής Μαιευτικής και Γυναικολογικής Εταιρείας και της Ελληνικής Εταιρείας Κολποσκόπησης και Παθολογίας Τραχήλου. Vasilaki Atalanti is a Surgeon Gynecologist - Obstetrician with a private practice in Heraklion, Crete since 1995.
