Η Αντωνοπούλου Μαίρη είναι Νευρολόγος-Ψυχοθεραπεύτρια και διατηρεί ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στους Αμπελόκηπους.Έχει εργαστεί ως Υπεύθυνη Νευρολόγος στο Κέντρο νόσου Alzheimer IASIS στην Άνω Γλυφάδα και στο Metropolitan General. Κατά τη διάρκεια της ειδικότητας εκπαιδεύτηκε στη διαγνωστική διερεύνηση και θεραπευτική αντιμετώπιση των νοσηλευόμενων ασθενών της Νευρολογικής Κλινικής, στην αντιμετώπιση επειγόντων νευρολογικών περιστατικών στο Τμήμα Επειγόντων Περιστατικών του Νοσοκομείου, στη λειτουργία Τακτικού Εξωτερικού Νευρολογικού Ιατρείου και παρακολούθηση ασθενών με χρόνιες νευρολογικές νόσους, στη λειτουργία Νευροφυσιολογικού Εργαστηρίου (Ηλεκτροεγκεφαλογράφημα, ηλεκτρομυογράφημα, προκλητά δυναμικά) και στις παρακλινικές εξετάσεις/διασυνδετική. Επίσης, στα πλαίσια της ειδικότητας, εκπαιδεύτηκε στην Α' Παθολογική Κλινική για 9 μήνες καθώς και στη Ψυχιατρική Κλινική οπότε και ήρθε σε επαφή με τη διαγνωστική αξιολόγηση και θεραπευτική αντιμετώπιση ασθενών με διαταραχές διάθεσης, διαταραχές προσωπικότητας, διαταραχές προσαρμογής, ψυχωτικές διαταραχές και διαταραχές από χρήση ουσιών. Κατά τη διάρκεια της επαγγελματικής της πορείας, το εκπαιδευτικό της κομμάτι συνεχίστηκε μέσα από σεμινάρια και συνέδρια σε τομείς της νευρολογίας όπως σκλήρυνση κατά πλάκας, κεφαλαλγία, νευροφυσιολογία κ.α. Το 2015 ξεκίνησε το προσωπικό της ταξίδι στον χώρο της Ψυχοθεραπείας, ενώ ταυτόχρονα εκπαιδεύτηκε ως Σύμβουλος Ψυχικής Υγείας στο Κέντρο Εφαρμοσμένης Ψυχοθεραπείας και Συμβουλευτικής.Το συγκεκριμένο πρόγραμμα, εκτός από την προσωπική ατομική και ομαδική ψυχοθεραπεία, περιλαμβάνει Αρχές Ψυχοδυναμικής, CBT, Gestalt και Συστημικής Συμβουλευτικής. Συνέχισε την εκπαίδευσή της ως Γνωσιακή -Συμπεριφορική (CBT) Ψυχοθεραπεύτρια στο ίδιο κέντρο.
