Το 1999 απέκτησε μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο στους προηγμένους Μαιευτικούς Υπερήχους από το Βασιλικό Κολλέγιο Μαιευτήρων - Γυναικολόγων του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου. Ioannis A. Thanopoulos is an Obstetrician, Surgeon - Gynecologist and maintains private practices in Ilion and Kolonaki.
