Ο Κούτρας Άγγελος είναι Γυναικολόγος - Μαιευτήρας και διατηρεί ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στη Σύρο, το οποίο στεγάζεται στο πρώην κτίριο της Alpha Bank και η είσοδος είναι από τη μεριά της θάλασσας. Σπούδασε Ιατρική στο Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης. Ειδικεύτηκε στη Μαιευτική - Γυναικολογία στο ΓΝ Ιπποκράτειο Θεσσαλονίκης, όπου και εκπαιδεύτηκε στην εκτέλεση υπερηχογραφημάτων. Επίσης, έχει εκπαιδευτεί στη Γυναικολογική Λαπαροσκόπηση στο ΠΓΝ "Αλεξάνδρα" και αργότερα στη Γυναικολογική Ογκολογία - Καρκίνος του μαστού και των γεννητικών οργάνων από το Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Διαθέτει πολυετή κλινική εμπειρία έχοντας εργαστεί σε νοσοκομεία της Ελλάδας και του εξωτερικού. Τέλος, διαθέτει πλούσιο επιστημονικό έργο αποτελούμενο από ακαδημαϊκές δημοσιεύσεις και εργασίες που έχουν παρουσιαστεί σε συνέδρια ανά τον κόσμο, στα οποία έχει συμμετάσχει.
