Στην επιστημονική του πορεία, έχει διατελέσει Πρόεδρος του Επιστημονικού Συμβουλίου και Διευθυντής Ιατρικής Υπηρεσίας στο Γ.Ν.Αθηνών «ΕΛΠΙΣ», ενώ υπήρξε συντονιστής διευθυντής του Ουρολογικού Τμήματος και επιμελητής Α΄ και Β΄ Ουρολογικής Κλινικής από το 1982 έως το 2018.

Η εκπαίδευση και η εξειδίκευση του περιλαμβάνει πτυχίο Ιατρικής από το Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών (1976), ειδικότητα Ουρολογίας (1983), διδακτορική διατριβή (1989), MSc στην Πνευμονική Υπέρταση, καθώς και διεθνή μετεκπαίδευση σε κορυφαία νοσοκομεία του Λονδίνου και της Γερμανίας σε επανορθωτική χειρουργική, γυναικολογική ουρολογία και χειρουργική ογκολογία. Είναι κάτοχος του Ευρωπαϊκού Διπλώματος Ουρολογίας (FEBU) και διαθέτει επίσης Master στην Αισθητική Ιατρική και Διπλώματα Ιατρικού Βελονισμού.Ο ιατρός έχει συμβάλλει σημαντικά στην επιστημονική κοινότητα με τρία εξειδικευμένα ουρολογικά συγγράμματα, πάνω από 220 επιστημονικές ανακοινώσεις και δημοσιεύσεις σε διεθνή και ελληνικά συνέδρια, καθώς και με διεθνή βραβεία για την επιστημονική του δραστηριότητα.

Επιπρόσθετα, μετείχε σε μεγάλο αριθμό ουρογυναικολογικών επεμβάσεων λόγω ακράτειας ούρων. Στη συνέχεια ειδικεύτηκε στη Β’ Μαιευτική και Γυναικολογική Κλινική του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, στο Αρεταίειο Νοσοκομείο, Πιστοποιημένου Ευρωπαϊκού Κέντρου Εκπαίδευσης στη Μαιευτική και Γυναικολογία από το Ευρωπαϊκό Κολέγιο Μαιευτικής και Γυναικολογίας (EBCOG). Έλαβε μέρος σε πληθώρα φυσιολογικών και επιπλεγμένων τοκετών, συμμετέχοντας ενεργά στο Τμήμα Παρακολούθησης Κυήσεων Υψηλού Κινδύνου, στο Τμήμα Υστεροσκόπησης και στο Τμήμα Λαπαροσκόπησης, αποκτώντας εμπειρία στις ενδοσκοπικές μεθόδους. Syrios Konstantinos is a Gynecologist - Obstetrician and maintains a private practice in Ilisia. His medical studies were completed entirely in Belgium, at the University of Liège. Maria Sakellariou is a Gynecologist - Obstetrician and maintains a private practice in Panormou. She grew up in Athens and graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where she also completed her postgraduate studies in "High Risk Pregnancy." She specialized in Obstetrics - Gynecology at the 3rd Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology of the University of Athens at "Attikon" University Hospital, completing one year of specialty training in General Surgery at the 2nd Department of General Surgery of the University of Athens at Aretaieio Hospital. In France, she completed part of her Obstetrics - Gynecology specialty at CHU Bicetre in Paris, where she also obtained the University Diploma in Operative Hysteroscopy. Additionally, she received further training as a Fellow in Minimally Invasive Surgery at CHU Estaing in Clermont-Ferrand, in France. She is a Consultant at the 1st Gynecological Dypartment at Metropolitan General, in the Department of Robotic and Laparoscopic Surgery, and collaborates with the REA, IASO, and MITERA Maternity Hospitals. She sees patients at her private practice, at Metropolitan General, and at Health Spot Glyfada. Finally, she participates in the National Program "PROLAMBANO" for cervical cancer prevention.
