Upon completing his specialization in Hematology at the “Laiko” Hospital and his doctoral dissertation, he pursued further training in Israel at one of the world's leading centers for Bone Marrow Transplantation, “Tel HaShomer,” and subsequently worked as a specialist hematologist at one of the largest hemato-oncology centers in the United Kingdom, the Royal Marsden. Following this, Dr. Pessax worked for several years in Greece as an Academic Fellow at the University of Athens, while also serving as a scientific collaborator at the European University Cyprus. Currently, Dr. Pessax is an Associate Professor of Hematology, practices privately in Athens, is a Hematologist at the Athens Medical Center, and regularly continues to practice medicine in the United Kingdom and Belgium as a specialist Hematologist. Scientifically, he has participated in hundreds of Greek and international conferences with numerous significant presentations, has authored many important scientific articles, and has contributed to the writing of two foreign-language medical books.
