Gastroenterologist – Hepatologist M.D.

I am Alexandros Spyrantis, Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist M.D., with a private practice in Ilioupoli, Athens. I am also a Gastroenterologist Associate at the 1st Department of Gastroenterology and Interventional Endoscopy at IASO General Clinic.

I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Latvia in Riga and subsequently completed my specialist training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Greece. My specialist training included the Hepato-Gastroenterology Department of G.O.N.K. “Agioi Anargyroi”, as well as clinical training at the Gastroenterology Department of General Hospital of Nikaia “Agios Panteleimon”. Prior to specialising in Gastroenterology, I trained in Internal Medicine, gaining broad clinical experience in the overall assessment and management of patients.

Gastrointestinal endoscopy is a particular area of professional interest. I have completed the Hellenic Gastroenterology Society’s Endoscopy School and have participated in hands-on training in invasive endoscopic techniques. I also regularly participate in scientific conferences and educational programmes in Greece and abroad, with a focus on Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Endoscopy.

In my clinical practice, I assess and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver conditions, including gastroesophageal reflux disease, indigestion, gastritis, Helicobacter pylori infection, peptic ulcer disease, abdominal pain, bloating, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, diarrhoea and changes in bowel habits. I also evaluate gastrointestinal bleeding, colorectal polyps, diverticular disease and inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, as well as liver and biliary disorders.

I place particular emphasis on careful history-taking and a structured diagnostic approach. I believe that patients should clearly understand what may be causing their symptoms, why a particular investigation is recommended and what the next steps should be.

For this reason, I aim to give each patient sufficient time to discuss their symptoms, concerns and expectations. I explain the diagnosis and available treatment options in clear and understandable terms, while tailoring the medical approach to each individual patient.

My approach combines current medical knowledge with personalised care. I believe that effective medical care should take into account not only the clinical findings and scientific evidence, but also the individual needs and circumstances of each patient.

Alongside my clinical work, I maintain an active interest in medical research and continuing professional education. I have participated in scientific studies, presentations and posters at Greek and international conferences, with topics including inflammatory bowel disease, hepatology, gastrointestinal endoscopy and a range of gastrointestinal conditions.

My aim is to provide patients with medical care that combines scientific expertise, careful diagnostic assessment, up-to-date knowledge and clear, compassionate communication.

For me, good medical care does not end with establishing a diagnosis. It also means providing clear information, an appropriate management plan and building a relationship of trust between doctor and patient.

Mylonas Xrysanthos is an Orthopedic Surgeon - Traumatologist with private practices in Anavyssos, Lavrio, and Glyfada. He holds a degree from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and completed his specialty in General Surgery at the General State Hospital of Nikaia. Το 2018 μετεκπαιδεύτηκε στη Λυών της Γαλλίας σε ένα από τα κορυφαία κέντρα χειρουργικής ώμου παγκοσμίως, το Centre Orthopédique Santy – FIFA Medical Center of Excellence, όπου ολοκλήρωσε το Shoulder Clinical Fellowship. Κατά τη διάρκεια της μετεκπαίδευσής του εργάστηκε επίσης στο Hôpital Privé Jean Mermoz, αποκτώντας πρακτική εμπειρία σε εξειδικευμένες επεμβάσεις ώμου, σύνθετες βλάβες τενοντίου πετάλου, αστάθειες, αντιμετώπιση καταγμάτων και επανορθωτικές τεχνικές αρθροπλαστικής υψηλής δυσκολίας, υπό την καθοδήγηση διεθνώς αναγνωρισμένων χειρουργών. Έχει παρουσιάσει επιστημονικές εργασίες, τεχνικές και κλινικά δεδομένα σε πολυάριθμα συνέδρια στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό, συμβάλλοντας στη διάδοση της σύγχρονης αρθροσκοπικής χειρουργικής και της ελάχιστα επεμβατικής προσέγγισης στις αθλητικές κακώσεις και στις παθήσεις του ώμου. Επίσης έχει υπάρξει εκπαιδευτής νεότερων Ιατρών στις πιο σύγχρονες χειρουργικές τεχνικές αντιμετώπισης του συνόλου της παθολογίας του ώμου. Από το 2025 κατέχει τη θέση του Υποδιευθυντή της Γ’ Ορθοπαιδικής Κλινικής του Νοσοκομείου ΥΓΕΙΑ, συμμετέχοντας ενεργά στη λειτουργία της Κλινικής, στην ανάπτυξη θεραπευτικών πρωτοκόλλων και στη διαχείριση σύνθετων περιστατικών. Παράλληλα, αποτελεί μέλος της επιστημονικής ομάδας του Athens Shoulder Institute, συμμετέχοντας: στο Τμήμα Εκπαίδευσης (Education and Training) για την ανάπτυξη και διδασκαλία σύγχρονων τεχνικών χειρουργικής ώμου, στο Τμήμα Οργάνωσης και Κλινικού Έργου, συμβάλλοντας στον συντονισμό, στην παροχή υψηλού επιπέδου κλινικών υπηρεσιών και στην ενιαία στρατηγική του Κέντρου, στο Τμήμα Προβολής και Ενημέρωσης, με στόχο την επιστημονική εξωστρέφεια, τη δημιουργία εκπαιδευτικού υλικού και την αναβάθμιση της παρουσίας του Κέντρου στην ιατρική κοινότητα. Διατηρεί ιατρείο Ελάχιστα Επεμβατικής Χειρουργικής στη Γλυφάδα και το Μαρούσι όπου αντιμετωπίζει εξειδικευμένα παθήσεις ώμου και γόνατος, αθλητικές κακώσεις και σύνθετα ορθοπαιδικά περιστατικά, εφαρμόζοντας εξατομικευμένες, τεκμηριωμένες και βιολογικά ενισχυμένες θεραπευτικές προσεγγίσεις.

Koinakis Nikolaos is an Adult and Pediatric Cardiologist and maintains private practices in Kallithea, Glyfada, and Sitia, Crete. He is a graduate of Biology and the Medical School of the University of Crete. He specialized in cardiology at the General Hospital "Asklipieio" of Voula. During his specialization, he trained in pediatric cardiology at the General Children's Hospital "Agia Sofia". He pursued further training in advanced ultrasound techniques (stress echo, transesophageal echocardiography) at the General Hospital of Crete "Venizeleio". The clinic provides electrocardiograms, heart triplex ultrasounds, blood pressure Holter monitoring, rhythm Holter monitoring (24 and 48 hours), stress echo, pre-participation athletic screening, prescription of medications, and referral for diagnostic tests. Dr Kalantzis Anastasios FEBU is a Urologist - Andrologist who maintains a private practice in Paleo Faliro, while simultaneously serving as the Director of the 1st Urology Clinic at Errikos Dynan Hospital Center since 2017. He holds a degree from the Medical School of Napoka University in Romania and is pursuing a doctoral dissertation. He specialized in Urology at the Urology Clinic of the General Hospital of Athens "G. Gennimatas." He possesses extensive clinical experience, collaborating with Errikos Dynan since 2005. Additionally, he holds Advanced Life Trauma Support certification. Dr Kalantzis stays updated with the latest medical advancements and has participated in numerous scientific conferences in Greece and abroad. He has also published articles in both Greek and international scientific journals. Finally, he is a member of the Athens Medical Association, the Hellenic Urological Association, the European Association of Urology, and the International Endourological Society.
