Ταυτόχρονα συμμετείχε στο υπερτασιολογικό ιατρείο, λαμβάνοντας στο τελευταίο έτος τρίμηνες εκπαιδεύσεις στην Καρδιολογία και την Εντατική Θεραπεία. Πέτυχε στις εξετάσεις ειδικότητας Παθολογίας τον Ιούνιο του 2001 και έλαβε τον τίτλο της ειδικότητας του Ειδικού Παθολόγου τον Αύγουστο του 2001. Έχει υπηρετήσει επί σειρά ετών σε μονάδες εκστρατείας των Ενόπλων Δυνάμεων, επιτελώντας διοικητικό και επιτελικό έργο ταυτόχρονα με το ιατρικό.
