Dr. Simaskou Anastasia was born in Athens and completed her medical studies at the Università degli Studi dell'Aquila in Italy. She fulfilled her duties at the P.P. Clinic of Halki, Dodecanese as a rural doctor, and subsequently trained in the Pathology Department of Spiliopouleio Hospital "Agia Eleni" for one year, completing the general requirements for obtaining a specialization in Dermatology. Ο διεθνούς φήμης καθηγητής - ερευνητής στο Πανεπιστήμιο Northeastern (ΗΠΑ) Νίκος Σούκος έγραψε: «Το έργο του έπαιξε θεμελιακό ρόλο στη δημιουργία της Ελληνικής Σχολής Σκέψης στη Στοματολογία με ακτινοβολούσα θέση στο παγκόσμιο ιατρικό στερέωμα». Πιο συγκεκριμένα, έχει εκδώσει 11 ελληνικά βιβλία και 6 στα αγγλικά, που έχουν μεταφραστεί σε 12 ακόμη γλώσσες. Τα βιβλία του διδάσκονται στα περισσότερα Πανεπιστήμια του κόσμου (Ευρώπη, Ασία, Αμερική). Έχει συγγράψει κεφάλαια σε 23 ελληνικά ιατρικά βιβλία και σε 3 αγγλικά και έχει δημοσιεύσει πάνω από 600 επιστημονικές εργασίες σε διεθνή και ελληνικά Ιατρικά και Οδοντιατρικά περιοδικά. Τέλος, έχει ανακοινώσει πάνω από 950 ομιλίες και εισηγήσεις σε συνέδρια στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό.
