Δικαίως θεωρείται «πατέρας» της Κλινικής Στοματολογίας και αναδείχτηκε σε εμβληματική μορφή της σύγχρονης ιστορίας της Παγκόσμιας Στοματολογίας. Με το συγγραφικό και το διδακτικό του έργο στο Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών, στα διεθνή και τα ντόπια συνέδρια, τις ημερίδες και τα σεμινάρια, όρισε και καθόρισε τη θέση της Κλινικής Στοματολογίας στην σύγχρονη εποχή.
