He began his specialty in Sports Medicine at the University Hospital, Catanzaro, Italy, after competitive examinations, holding a salaried position - scholarship funded by the E.U., under the direction of Professor Prof. Pietro Scotto di Vettimo. In his first year of specialization, he trained at the University Hospital, Chieti, Italy, in the Sports Medicine Department under the direction of Professor Prof. Leonardo Vecchiet.
