Physiotherapist for Acupuncture in Agios Stefanos

The physiotherapy center has been operating since 2012 in the area of Agios Stefanos. The scientific director, Mr. Gkaveras Vasilis, is specialized in the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal, neurological, and respiratory disorders, as well as therapeutic exercise and acupuncture. Vasilis Gkaveras is a graduate of the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Athens, Department of Physiotherapy. He has attended numerous conferences, both as a participant and as a speaker. Since his graduation in 2007, he has been continuously enhancing his education by attending seminars in his field of expertise. He has completed seminars in Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF 1, 2, 3a), myofascial trigger point therapy (Trigger Point Therapy 1, 2), dry needling (Dry Needle Therapy 1), and sports taping (Medical Taping), qualifications that make him specialized in musculoskeletal and neurological cases. In 2012, he completed the two-year first cycle of postgraduate studies at the Greek Association of Manual Therapy Physiotherapists, obtaining the title of Manual Therapist, internationally recognized by IFOMT. Regarding his professional experience, he has worked in several physiotherapy clinics in Athens (ARCOS Rehabilitation Center, OSTEO-PHYSIO Therapy Lab, 401 General Military Hospital of Athens), as well as at the municipal polyclinics of Agios Stefanos, through volunteer work. Parousi Amalia is a Specialist General Practitioner and maintains her private practice in Acharnes. Papadopoulos Dimitrios is an Anesthesiologist - Acupuncturist and maintains a Private Pain Clinic in Acharnes. He graduated from the Medical School of Varna and specialized in Anesthesiology at the "Konstantopouleio" General Hospital (Agia Olga). He trained at the Pain & Palliative Care Clinic at the General Oncology Hospital “Agioi Anargyroi” and holds a Certificate of Attendance from Continuing Education Seminars in Algology (SEΑ). He holds an Acupuncture Diploma from the International Postgraduate Acupuncture Center AcuScience (2009 - 2011). He has served as an Anesthesiologist at the UHB Trust in the United Kingdom and as an Assistant Consultant Anesthesiologist B’ at the General Hospital of Samos. As part of his continuous professional development, he participates in numerous conferences and seminars in Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Management in Greece and abroad, as well as in Auricular Acupuncture - Auricular Neuromodulation with Prof. Bazzoni.

Rozaxounova Ntina is a certified chiropractor with over 20 years of experience and operates a Center for Alternative Therapies. She has studied in China, the former Soviet Union, and Europe, combining her knowledge of alternative therapies for musculoskeletal care. With specialization in conditions such as intervertebral hernias, cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine issues, she offers personalized solutions for pain relief and restoration of body function. In her practice, she utilizes methods such as chiropractic and acupuncture, which provide natural relief and health enhancement, as well as other alternative therapy techniques. Additionally, she holds a diploma in Biomedical Acupuncture from the University of West Attica and has been trained in Manual Therapy at a school certified by the International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists (IFOMPT), deepening her expertise in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal disorders. Currently, she is a postgraduate student at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, enrolled in the program "Algology: Pain Management - Diagnosis and Treatment - Pharmacological, Interventional, and Other Techniques," aiming at the treatment of acute and chronic pain. She has worked in physiotherapy centers, private clinics, and provided home-based therapies. Her goal is the management and treatment of acute and chronic pain through a holistic and individualized physiotherapeutic approach. Georgios Taxias is a Dermatologist - Venereologist who maintains private practices in Pefki and Kifisia. He studied at the Medical School of the University of L'Aquila in Italy and completed his specialty training as a Dermatologist - Venereologist at the University Clinic of the University General Hospital of Patras. Additionally, he has been trained in seminars by the Italian Association of Medical and Surgical Aesthetics in Bologna, Italy, focusing on dermal implants and Botox. He has worked as a Dermatology Registrar at the General Hospital of Athens "G. Gennimatas" and was Head of the Department of Pigmented Skin Lesions. Furthermore, he has worked in the outpatient clinics of the Bioclinic of Piraeus. Finally, the doctor has actively participated with oral and written publications in numerous medical conferences and workshops in Greece and abroad.
