Άνδρας 39 ετών: ανησυχητικές τιμές χοληστερόλης και λιποπρωτεΐνης a;
Χριστός Ανέστη, χαίρετε. Άνδρας 39 ετών με καλό σάκχαρο, ολική χοληστερόλη (204), τριγλυκερίδια (103), HDL (36), LDL (166) και λιποπρωτεΐνη a (65), πρέπει να πάρω αγωγή και να κάνω κάτι άμεσα; Είναι πολύ ανησυχητικές οι τιμές αυτές;

Καλησπέρα σας,
Οι τιμές σας δεν είναι για πανικό, αλλά δείχνουν ότι χρειάζεται να ασχοληθούμε λίγο πιο προσεκτικά. Η LDL είναι αυξημένη, η HDL σχετικά χαμηλή, και η Lp(a) είναι επίσης πάνω από το φυσιολογικό. Ειδικά η Lp(a), επειδή είναι κληρονομική και δεν επηρεάζεται εύκολα με αλλαγές στον τρόπο ζωής, παίζει ρόλο στον συνολικό καρδιαγγειακό κίνδυνο — και αυτός είναι διαφορετικός για κάθε άνθρωπο.
Δεν σημαίνει απαραίτητα ότι πρέπει να ξεκινήσετε φάρμακο αύριο το πρωί, αλλά χρειάζεται αξιολόγηση από καρδιολόγο, ώστε να δούμε όλη την εικόνα (ιστορικό, πίεση, τρόπος ζωής, στόχοι), και να αποφασίσουμε μαζί ποια είναι η σωστή κα...τεύθυνση. Ίσως δεν αρκεί μόνο η διατροφή — αλλά ούτε και χρειάζεται κάτι επιθετικό.
