Demiri Matina is a Oncologist - Pathologist and maintains a private practice within the Metropolitan Hospital in Cholargos. Her clinical focus encompasses all solid tumors, including gastrointestinal tumors and neuroendocrine tumors. She graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), completed her Pathology specialty in 1987, and Oncology specialization in 2003. She has gained valuable experience working as a Consultant in Pathology-Oncology Clinics at prominent institutions such as Tzaneio General Hospital of Piraeus and the General Anti-Cancer Oncology Hospital of Athens "Agios Savvas." Since 2023, she has been serving as the Director of the 3rd Oncology Clinic at Metropolitan General Cholargos. Additionally, she is an active member of associations and organizations including the Hellenic Society for Neuroendocrine Tumors, where she serves as President, the Hellenic Society of Medical Oncologists (HSPO), the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society e.V. (ENETS), and the North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (NANETS). Finally, her significant contributions to research programs and publications were recognized in 2023 when she received an honorary distinction as Scientific Director "for her valuable contribution to patients and fellow physicians of the Clinic" at the 11th Panhellenic Congress "New Drugs in Oncology."
