Dr. Ioannis Virlos is a General Surgeon who maintains a private practice in Glyfada. He has received training not only in Greece but also in the United Kingdom, Australia, and Belgium.After completing his military service in 1992, he trained in General Surgery in hospitals in Athens and the United Kingdom between 1992 and 1999, obtaining his specialty title in General Surgery in 1999. From 2002 to 2012, he served as a surgical consultant in hospitals in the UK, Australia, Belgium, and Greece. Specifically, he worked at the following hospitals in the UK: North Middlesex, Arrowe Park, Derriford, Torbay, Exeter, Cheltenham, and North Bristol, as well as at Sir Charles Gairdner University Hospital in Perth, Australia, and Sotiria Hospital in Athens (as Senior Consultant).During the same period, he received advanced training in laparoscopic colorectal surgery and laparoscopic bariatric surgery at Singleton Hospital in Swansea, UK, and Heilighart Ziekenhuis in Roeselare, Belgium.From 2012 to 2021, he worked as a Consultant Surgeon at the following hospitals in the UK: Ealing Hospital, Homerton University Hospital, John Radcliffe & Churchill Hospitals in Oxford, Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Northampton General Hospital, and University Hospitals of Derby and Burton. He returned to Greece in 2021.Since 2023, Mr. Virlos has been the Director of Surgery at Metropolitan General Hospital in Athens. He also serves as the General Secretary of the Hellenic Society of Coloproctology. Finally, for the period 2025–2028, he will represent Greece at the European Society of Coloproctology.

Ο Παναγιωτάκης Εμμανουήλ MD, PhD είναι Γενικός Χειρουργός με ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στο Μαρούσι. Είναι πτυχιούχος της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης και κατέχει διδακτορικό τίτλο από το Τμήμα Γενικής, Ογκολογικής Χειρουργικής και Χειρουργικής Σπλάχνων του Πανεπιστημίου του Αννόβερο. Έχει πολυετή εμπειρία (2011 έως 2023 ) στην αντιμετώπιση ογκολογικών ασθενών, ασθενών με χρόνιες φλεγμονώδεις νόσους του εντέρου (M. Crohn, ελκώδης κολίτιδα), ασθενών με πρωκτολογικές παθήσεις, όπως και ασθενών με καλοήθεις παθήσεις (π.χ. κήλες, χολή). Τέλος, ο γιατρός είναι μέλος της European Society of Coloproctology.

Εκεί απέκτησε τον τίτλο του Διδάκτορα της Ιατρικής, ενώ εν συνεχεία στην Γαλλία απέκτησε πολυάριθμα πανεπιστημιακά διπλώματα, μεταξύ των οποίων και εξειδικεύσεις στη χειρουργική του πεπτικού συστήματος, την ογκολογική χειρουργική και τη χειρουργική παχυσαρκίας ενώ είναι μέλος της Ελληνικής Εταιρείας Ογκολογίας Πεπτικού.

Η επαγγελματική του πορεία ξεκίνησε στο Πανεπιστημιακό Νοσοκομείο της Ρουέν, όπου υπηρέτησε ως ειδικευόμενος, επιμελητής και αργότερα ως νοσοκομειακός ιατρός. Από το 2017 και έπειτα, εργάστηκε σε κλινικές της Γαλλίας με αντικείμενο κυρίως τη Γενική, Λαπαροσκοπική, Βαριατρική και Ογκολογική χειρουργική, με ελάχιστα επεμβατικές μεθόδους. Σήμερα προσφέρει τις υπηρεσίες του στο Ιατρικό Κέντρο Αθηνών στο Μαρούσι.

Dr. Ioannis Dimitriou, MD, PhD, is a General Surgeon, Certified Oncologic Surgeon, Proctologist, and Minimally Invasive Surgeon, maintaining a private practice in Marousi, Greece. He specializes in Robotic Surgery (Da Vinci X- & XI-System ©INTUITIVE) and holds a PhD from the Medical School of Justus Liebig University in Giessen, Germany. Dr. Dimitriou studied at the Medical School of Justus Liebig University in Giessen, where he also successfully completed his doctoral thesis. He specialized in General and Visceral Surgery at the University Hospital Klinikum Krefeld in Germany and subsequently at the University Hospital and Oncology Center Alfried Krupp Krankenhaus Essen. In 2010, he obtained his Surgery specialization, followed by the Visceral Surgery specialization in 2014. He further acquired subspecialties in Oncologic Surgery (2017) and Proctology (2019). In 2012, he was promoted to Senior Consultant (Oberarzt), and in 2018, he became Deputy Director (Stellvertretender Klinikleiter) of the Oncology Center at Alfried Krupp Krankenhaus Essen. In 2019, he assumed the role of Head of the Surgical Department at St. Barbara-Hospital Gladbeck and Sankt Marien-Hospital Buer in Germany—both Certified Oncology Centers (Augustinus Tumor Centrum – ATC) and Certified Hernia Centers (Hernienzentrum) under the German Hernia Society (DHG). In 2023, he was appointed Director of the Surgical Department at the University Hospital Marien-Hospital Marl, a Certified Colorectal Cancer Center (Darmkrebszentrum) accredited by the German Cancer Society (DKG), where he also served as Scientific Director.
