Mastologists in Attica

Zouridakis Ioannis MD, MSc is a General Surgeon and Mastologist, maintaining a private practice in Korydallos since 1994 and recently within REA Hospital. He is a Scientific Collaborator and PhD Candidate at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He holds a medical degree since 1986 from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” with a doctoral thesis completed during his studies. He obtained his specialty in General Surgery at the General Hospital of Athens "Evangelismos" and specialized in Laparoscopic Surgery at the University of Montpellier in France. He attended the European Advanced Level Course in Breast Disease Management for Surgeons in Athens and specialized in the treatment of breast diseases at the 6th Oncology Hospital "G. Gennimatas". Subsequently, he specialized in hernia surgery using dual mesh PHS & Prolene 3D Patch at Umberto I Hospital in Italy, and also specialized in Minimally Invasive Operating Techniques in Colorectal Surgery. He has worked in numerous hospitals and clinics and served for many years as Director of the Surgical Clinic at "Metropolitan" Hospital. He currently works daily as a Surgeon – Laparoscopist – Mastologist (Consultant Surgeon) at the General and Maternity Hospital REA, one of the most modern hospitals in Greece. Finally, he has attended and participated in over 100 medical conferences in Greece and abroad.

Andrikopoulos Spyros is a Breast Specialist and Director of the Surgical Clinic at the White Cross Athens. He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Patras and trained at the Piraeus Anti-Cancer Hospital "Metaxa," the State Hospital of Nikaia, and the General Hospital of Athens "Evangelismos." After completing his specialty, he undertook further training in Breast Surgery at Hereford Hospitals NHS Trust in the United Kingdom. He has participated in numerous research protocols both in the United Kingdom and Greece, with a primary scientific interest in Breast Oncology. He has been responsible for the surveillance of women for Breast Cancer prevention, as well as Breast Surgery and Surgical Oncology. To date, he collaborates with many private hospitals in Athens, including the Hygeia Hospital, the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic “IASO,” the Metropolitan General Hospital, the Gynecological, Obstetric, and Surgical Center “Leto,” and the “Mitera” Hospital. Finally, the physician is a member of numerous Greek and European Scientific Societies and Associations.

Dr. Mpakogiannis Apostolos, MD, is a Mastologist - Breast Surgeon who was raised and received his initial training in Germany. He holds a master's degree (MSc) and a Doctorate in Medicine. He served in the Hellenic Army as a medical officer in TENX units and completed his rural medical practice at the Asklipieio Hospital in southeastern Rhodes. He completed his specialty in General Surgery at the 4th Surgical Clinic of the General Hospital of Athens "Evangelismos" and at the Breast Center of the Anti-Cancer - Oncology Hospital of Athens "Agios Savvas," where he obtained his board certification as a General Surgeon in 2006. From then until 2013, he worked at the Breast Center of Hygeia Hospital. From 2013 to 2017, he served as the Director of the 3rd Breast Surgery Clinic at IASON General Hospital. Since 2017, he has been the Director of the 2nd Breast Clinic at “Errikos Dynan” Hospital. He has attended conferences worldwide, presented various papers as a speaker, and participated in numerous roundtable discussions as a chairperson focusing on breast diseases. He trained in modern Breast Surgery (sentinel lymph node biopsy, oncoplastic surgery) at the world-renowned Breast Center in Milan under Professor Veronese, as well as at the Breast Center of "Agios Savvas" Hospital. He was among the first surgeons in Greece to engage in oncoplastic surgery and sentinel lymph node biopsy. Finally, Dr. Mpakogiannis is a member of various scientific societies and committees.

Kinoglou Georgios is a Breast Surgeon and head of the breast clinic at Central Medical Park in Kallithea. He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Athens and trained in the specialty of General Surgery at Aretaieio Hospital. He pursued further training in Surgical Oncology at Jules Bordet Hospital in Brussels, Belgium, as well as in Breast Surgery with a specialization in stereotactic breast biopsy (Mammotome) at Hôpital St. Louis in Paris. Additionally, he completed postgraduate studies in Endocrinological and General Surgery at Hôpital Foch in Paris. In the course of his professional career, he has served as a Registrar B’ E.S.Y. at the Breast Surgery Clinic of the Athens Cancer Hospital “Agios Savvas,” has completed rural service at the Health Center of Mykonos, and has also served in the Navy. Concurrently, he works as the lead surgeon at Kyaneus Stavros and Metropolitan hospitals. He is a member of the Medical Association of Piraeus, the Ordre de Médecins medical association of the Brussels region, the Hellenic Society of Surgical Oncology, the Hellenic Breast Surgery Society, the Hellenic Society of Surgical Infections, the European Society of Surgical Infections, and the Hellenic Anticancer Society. His primary fields of scientific interest include breast reconstructive surgery, endoscopic and laparoscopic surgery, and stereotactic breast biopsy (Mammotome). He has chaired surgical workshops and breast conferences and has participated as a presenter with scientific papers at Greek and international medical conferences.

Ο Ρέλλιας Ιωάννης MD, MSc, PhD είναι Μαστολόγος - Χειρουργός μαστού και Διδάκτωρ της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Εθνικού & Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών με ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στη πλατεία Μαβίλη. Αποφοίτησε από την Ιατρική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Ιωαννίνων και εν συνεχεία ολοκλήρωσε το Μεταπτυχιακό της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Εθνικού & Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών «Έρευνα στη Γυναικεία Αναπαραγωγή», με βαθμό πτυχίου «Άριστα» 9,24. Εργάσθηκε ως Υπεύθυνος Ιατρός πολυεθνικής - πολυκεντρικής κλινικής μελέτης σχετικά με την ανοσοθεραπεία του καρκίνου μαστού στο Αντικαρκινικό Νοσοκομείο Αθηνών «Άγιος Σάββας». Ασκήθηκε στην Γενική Χειρουργική στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Πειραιά «Τζάνειο». Ειδικεύτηκε στη Μαιευτική - Γυναικολογία, στην Α’ Μαιευτική - Γυναικολογική κλινική του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο «Αλεξάνδρα», και εξειδικεύτηκε στο τμήμα Μαστού, στο ίδιο νοσοκομείο. Υπηρέτησε ως ειδικευμένος χειρουργός μαστού στο τμήμα Μαστού της Α’ Μαιευτικής - Γυναικολογικής κλινικής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Διαθέτει πιστοποίηση Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics από την American Academy of Family Physicians και πιστοποίηση IBUS - Breast Imaging School - Multimodality Breast Imaging and Image-Guided Interventions Course, Detection, Diagnosis, Management από την Scientific Society of Mastology. Συμμετέχει ενεργά σε πλήθος συνεδρίων και σεμιναρίων στα πλαίσια της συνεχούς κατάρτισης και έχει πραγματοποιήσει αρκετές επιστημονικές δημοσιεύσεις. Ο γιατρός διαθέτει σημαντική εμπειρία στην αντιμετώπιση παθήσεων μαστού και γυναικολογικών παθήσεων και δίνεται ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στην άσκηση της ιατρικής βάσει τελευταίων κατευθυντήριων οδηγιών και σύγχρονων θεραπευτικών πρωτοκόλλων (“evidence based medicine”). Ο κος Δουβετζέμης Στέργιος MD, PhD, FRCS, FEBS, CEBS είναι Μαστολόγος με ιδιωτικό ιατρείο στο Κολωνάκι και Διευθυντής της Δ’ Κλινικής Μαστού του Metropolitan General Hospital. Σε ακαδημαϊκό επίπεδο είναι Διδάκτωρ της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Λευκωσίας, τ. Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου King’s College του Λονδίνου και Εξεταστής της UEMS για τη χορήγηση της επίσημης ευρωπαϊκής πιστοποίησης στους χειρουργούς μαστού. Ταυτόχρονα, ήταν Consultant Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Breast Surgeon στο University Hospital Lewisham του Λονδίνου. Ο Δρ. Δουβετζέμης έχει αποκτήσει την επίσημη ευρωπαϊκή πιστοποίηση της UEMS για τη Χειρουργική του Μαστού (FEBS), μετά από επιτυχή συμμετοχή του, με την πρώτη προσπάθεια, σε γραπτές και προφορικές πανευρωπαϊκές εξετάσεις (EBSQ), ενώ είναι αξιοσημείωτο ότι από το 2021 έχει την τιμή να είναι ο ίδιος εξεταστής της UEMS για τη χορήγηση της ευρωπαϊκής πιστοποίησης στους χειρουργούς μαστού. Τιμή την οποία έχουν ελάχιστοι χειρουργοί μαστού διεθνώς, καθώς η επιλογή γίνεται με πολύ αυστηρά κριτήρια. Επίσης, ήταν από τους πρώτους χειρουργούς μαστού στην Ευρώπη που απέκτησαν την ευρωπαϊκή πιστοποίηση της BRESO για τη Χειρουργική Ογκολογία του Μαστού (CEBS). Ο Δρ. Δουβετζέμης είναι Fellow του Βασιλικού Κολλεγίου Χειρουργών της Αγγλίας (FRCS). Η ακαδημαϊκή του πορεία στο Λονδίνο ξεκίνησε με την εκλογή του ως Clinical Lecturer (Επίκουρος Καθηγητής) της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου King’s College, στο οποίο κατόπιν εξελέγη Senior Lecturer (Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής). Είναι, Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Λευκωσίας (University of Nicosia), Deputy Academic Lead για όλα τα Νοσοκομεία του ομίλου HHG (Υγεία, Metropolitan Hospital, Metropolitan General, Μητέρα) και Clinical Lead για την εκπαίδευση των φοιτητών ιατρικής στη χειρουργική του μαστού σε όλα τα Νοσοκομεία του ομίλου HHG. Είναι απόφοιτος της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, στην οποία ολοκλήρωσε και τη Διδακτορική του Διατριβή (PhD). Πριν μεταβεί στο Λονδίνο, για την εξειδίκευσή του στη Χειρουργική του Μαστού, ειδικεύθηκε στη Γενική Χειρουργική στη Δ’ Χειρουργική Κλινική Γενικού Νοσοκομείου Αθηνών "Ευαγγελισμός" και απέκτησε τον τίτλο του Γενικού Χειρουργού. Είναι, επίσης, επιστημονικός συνεργάτης στο Εργαστήριο της Ανατομίας και Χειρουργικής Ανατομίας "Ανατομείο" της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Έχει ενεργό συμμετοχή σε διεθνή συνέδρια και σεμινάρια και συνεισφορά στην εκπαίδευση των προπτυχιακών και μεταπτυχιακών φοιτητών της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, του Πανεπιστημίου Λευκωσίας και του King’s College του Λονδίνου.
