Τι ισχύει γενικά (σύμφωνα με οδηγίες ΕΟΦ, AAOMS):
Εάν λαμβάνετε Actonel λιγότερο από 3 χρόνια χωρίς κορτικοστεροειδή, ο κίνδυνος είναι πολύ χαμηλός.
Συνήθως ΔΕΝ απαιτείται διακοπή του φαρμάκου πριν την εξαγωγή.Αν όμως ο γιατρός ή ο οδοντίατρος το κρίνει, μπορεί να γίνει προληπτική διακοπή 2–3 μηνών πριν και μετά την εξαγωγή, ειδικά αν υπάρχουν και άλλοι παράγοντες κινδύνου (π.χ. κορτιζόνη, σακχαρώδης διαβήτης, φλεγμονή, κακή στοματική υγιεινή...).
