Can I replace Panadol/Arcoxia with Medrol for lumbar stenosis pain?

I was diagnosed with lumbar stenosis, arthrosis and 3 bulging hernias one year ago. With manual therapy and when needed Panadol and Arcoxia 90mg I was able to move reasonably freely again after a few difficult months. Until I sneezed this morning!!! Suddenly I can hardly walk and am again in a lot of pain, I took 2 Panadol 500mg and 1 Arcoxia 90mg. Pain now is only a bit less, walking is difficult without help and painful, I can't stand straight... What to do? Lay down or try to keep moving? And can I replace the Panadol/Arcoxia with Medrol 16mg tomorrow?

  • If the problem is just low back pain , rest and painkillers will be all you need.
If you feel any numbness or tingling running down your leg (which might mean sciatic nerve irritation), then the best thing to do is to start Μedrol (corticosteroids) and contact your doctor
