Σημαντικές παράμετροι για την εκτίμηση του κινδύνου μετάστασης αποτελούν το μέγεθος του όγκου στο μαστού, οι ορμονικοί υποδοχείς, το Her2neu κλπ. Δηλαδή η συνολική επιθετικότητα και όχι (μόνο) ο αριθμός των λεμφαδένων. Στο πιο ¨απλό¨ σενάριο με 1 λεμφαδένα η πιθανότητα για μετάσταση είναι <5%.
