Σπούδασε στην Ιατρική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου της Βόννης στη Γερμανία από όπου αποφοίτησε το 1993. Στη συνέχεια μετέβη στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και ειδικεύθηκε εξ ολοκλήρου στη Μαιευτική - Γυναικολογία. To 2001 απέκτησε τον Ευρωπαϊκό τίτλο ειδικότητας στην Μαιευτική και Γυναικολογία. Η εξειδίκευσή της αφορά την προγεννητική διάγνωση συγγενών ανωμαλιών εμβρύου, την εκτέλεση των υπερηχογραφημάτων κύησης αυχενικής διαφάνειας και Β’ επιπέδου καθώς και τις επεμβάσεις αμνιοκέντησης και λήψης τροφοβλάστης. Το 1999 απέκτησε μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο στους προηγμένους Μαιευτικούς Υπερήχους από το Βασιλικό Κολλέγιο Μαιευτήρων - Γυναικολόγων του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου. H Δημητρακοπούλου Αμαλία MD, MSc είναι Ειδικός Παθολόγος και διατηρεί το ιδιωτικό της ιατρείο στη Δάφνη. Είναι πτυχιούχος της Ιατρικής σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Federico II στη Νάπολη Ιταλίας και κάτοχος μεταπτυχιακού τίτλου σπουδών δευτέρου επιπέδου στην Αισθητική Ιατρική.

Ειδικεύτηκε στην Εσωτερική Παθολογία στην 5η Παθολογική Κλινική του Γενικού Νοσοκομείου Αθηνών "Ο Ευαγγελισμός", αποκτώντας σημαντική εμπειρία σε μεγάλο πλήθος περιστατικών που άπτονται στο ευρύ φάσμα της παθολογίας και της γηριατρικής. Το τελευταίο έτος της ειδικότητας της στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Αθηνών "Ο Ευαγγελισμός" υπηρέτησε για τρεις μήνες στην Ρευματολογική Κλινική, όπου συμμετείχε ενεργά στο εξωτερικό ρευματολογικό ιατρείο καθώς και στα περιστατικά της κλινικής.
